Mica EM is practically impossible to defeat within range unless you hide on time, r77’s (and r77-1’s) are terribad and will get notched even while you’re hard locking onto someone with the radar just in case the missile sees chaff. Mica EM also has double the thrust and acceleration and will clearly win against an r77 even if the r77 is launched five seconds earlier top to down and the mica is going up.
This is within 10km of distance between each other.
All missile bar the MICA EM have identical seekers.

Yes, Its ARH not SARH. Once the missile goes active, the DL only provides updates in specific scnarios, but for the most part a defeated missile is defeated regardless of whether you have turned cold or maintaining DL on the target>
Yes, its overperforming considerably at the moment.
Yes, it usually beats pretty much everything else in game within its effective range of about 20km.
It’s almost like mica em is a thrust vectoring fox 3 and close range engagements is where it shines (which is the entire game)
the problem is that r77 is so much worse than even the aim7p.
