Why does Gaijin keep adding post-WWII vehicles at lower BRs?

You know Axis and Allies?, British is Allies I think?

Outside of certain sim lobbies, axis vs allies is irrelevant.

The centurion faces israeli, swedish and soviet tanks with heat/heat-fs plenty of times.

I’m not sure, might be due to stab and more mobile perhaps.

The 6.0 centurion has no stabilizer and it’s slow for a medium tank in forward movement (in fact, the 4.0 KV1 has better mobility but worse gun handling/pen). It reverse speed is on par if not weaker to ISes and KVs.

Germany still has the JpZ 4-5, M109G and LeKpzM41. But the players still choose to use the heavies, why? because they are easier to play

It’s a bit tough to adapt to a new playstyle, especially with Germany, since you have very few light tanks and mobile vehicles at the lower BRs.

You play British, so maybe you can explain it to me. I might learn something new.

Idk. I’m barely average at this game yet I don’t have the same struggles concerning armour as german heavies with a british hybrid medium-heavy proto MBT/“universal tank” thingy used to corner push. Maybe it’s because I’m used to cruiser tanks before the centurion dying if you sneeze on them.

So, it’s really just a matter of playstyle then?

Perhaps? As I said, I die more often to american heavies with conventional shells and tigers that know to overmatch the forehead than heat-FS even versus israel and sweden on enemy team. With americans, it doesn’t help I keep shooting their loader and not their gunner.

This thread is just people who want to be invincible in heavy tanks coping

Maybe, but if you don’t have any thoughts, tips, or perspectives about the post, it’s better to keep your opinion to yourself.

That’s interesting! It might actually help me improve my gameplay. Thanks for your insight.

In conclusion, based on the replies:

  1. Playing heavy tanks is basically coping.
  2. Even the heaviest tank (MAUS) should be played like mediums or light tanks.
  3. Gaijin is to blame for their broken overpressure mechanic.

Playing heavy tanks like they’re invincible is coping.

Be aware of your surroundings, don’t push like a chicken with your head cut off, and don’t rely entirely on your armor.

In conclusion, people who play heavy tanks are upset that they have a glass cannon for a counter.

They’re upset that they can’t hold W and gather kills.

And also M109s and similar vehicles have no place at higher brs.

Yes yes, I already know. In an uptier, it is, but in a full downtier, it’s just the same. Very helpful of you. The heavy tank’s purpose has been lost by now; it’s just a slow, oversized light tank.

You are free to say whatever you will, nothing will change.

So don’t take a heavy tank out first in a full uptier :P

…Or just play it with care, usually heavy tank guns are pretty damn good.

Well, it’s just the same, really. If you take it on the second or third spawn, you’ll be bombed to oblivion by CAS. It doesn’t really matter, even in a full downtier.
