It doesn’t, as pure tankers will have a place to play, thus no problem at all.
There is no cover in any map that won’t allow me to kill You with an air unit.
If air user can’t kill You because of You moving or braking, that is an issue on their part.
Tunnel, most planes won’t bomb in there and it’s not only about bombing but about spotting as well.
If a tank can’t hit me at a distance because I was moving would be a skill issue as well but this isn’t the case because if I have enough time to react for example because of the distance or a bomb timer than it isn’t really his fault.

The one on winter map? I can certainly bomb there without any issue.
There is a huge difference between ground vs air and ground vs ground scenarios.
In ground vs ground scenario You always have a chance to do something about it as in +/- 1 B.R. system You always have a chance to do something, even destroying a gun.
In air vs ground scenario, You must rely on enemy making a mistake because no matter how good You are, a 1000kg bomb landing on You/near You will always kill You.
In ground vs ground scenario skills matters the most.
On higher br you wouldn’t be getting maps like Frozen Pass and once in a blue moon you get Pradesh, I grinded 8 stars at 9.3+ only ever seeing tunnel like ONCE because I only got Pradesh once lol. I guess next you going to bring up how CAS doesn’t have cover in mid-air due to lacks of floating rocks or palm trees hovering in mid air, then you also wouldn’t be able to attach bushes on your airplane to hide the weak spots so it’s perfectly fair eh lol
This is why you fight in a team so an spaa can shoot down the plane and in a spaa vs plane scenario the plane has a higher chance to succeed.
Also a higher sp cost would mean that the pilots need to do more for their kills which means that the kills are more earned.
An example would be the nuke because in a tank you can do nothing to shoot it down and even ends the game no matter which team was loosing. And I never heard anyone saying the nuke is op and I think this is because it’s earned.

Most anti-TO guys have one thing in common if you stat-check their profile, most of them barely have 1.0 KDR on their most-played ground vehicles, can’t die to CAS when most of the time they are already killed by enemy ground vehicles lol
Those “I rarely get killed by CAS bro are we playing the same game please gitgud and use SPAA” guys mostly rush caps with their light tank, when lucky they get a hit or two in or maybe a kill, when they have enough SP to spawn CAS they don’t bother to preserve their light tank and proceed to run into enemy line, die then spawn a CAS, which explains their KDR, of course they don’t die by CAS.
I had a couple of really enjoyable encounters ended by CAS last night. Overall a productive night but some good battles finished early by the planes for sure with many leaving early.
My only real comeback is to get out and fly myself and make myself the same kind of nuisance although last night I was more Iike George of the Jungle the number of trees I hit. My embarrassment was saved by players thinking I was doing it deliberately :)

Planes and helis play an important role in the game because you argue against allowing people to have the game mode they want. It plays an important part of the game YOU want. I’ve never seen a single person bitch and moan about helis that come running into the battlefield and rain hydra hell from above taking out multiple tanks and actually flying the helis. Everyone I know thinks it is cool and create a fun and dynamic battle space. I don’t know anyone bitching about them.
I think for the “realism” everyone talks about, we should have SAMs they should be player controlled and they should be good. Like they would be in reality. That way while you guys play ARB we can just hurl missiles from patriots or s400s at you guys while you worry about fighting or even getting to the battle field.
Why shouldn’t air battles be givin the same treatment? Why should only air get to exist in a vacuum? Which it never would in reality? It’s the same argument most of you use for GRB. Which shows the absolute hypocrisy and silliness of that argument to begin with.
A lot of your(not you specifically, per se) arguments hinge on some version of: “well this is how it’s been, and that’s how I like it. Why should it change because it’s not how you like it?”
It just so happens air benefitted from being not at all a “realistic” battle for air, but Ground “realistic” must stay “realistic.”
I think a lot of the anti-TO naysayers are silly because it’s predicated on the fact that you already have what you like, and we’re just fortunate enough that it came out first. While others make do with a game mode they’re not at all pleased with in some major ways, because there simply are no other meaningful alternatives in the gaming space.
