check FCM-36 aswell (even the japanese I-Go-Ko is better than this one)
The weakest part of the D2’s armor is 40mm and the L3/33 CC has a maximum penetration of 38mm at 10m and an angle of 90°.
In all honesty, there is no 100% perfect solution to the problem, or any problem with a human element to it. The old saying “you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink” applies nicely.
If I was able to change things myself, I would do the following:
-
Remove all the “rage mechanics” that accomplish nothing but anger people: kill camera, aircraft spawning in midair, zone cap “please bomb me” notifications, removing the nearby helipad, and merging the rear one into the runway complex.
-
Make the counters to CAS guaranteed available at match start in a way you cannot refuse nor put up a logical argument against why you aren’t using it instead of complaining how “overpowered” CAS supposedly is. Adding missing APCR/APDS to some SPAAs, giving non-radar ones lead markers to teach newbies where and when to shoot, improving SAM guidance, making Stingers and Starstreaks work better (or at all in the latter’s case), undoing the old belt composition and ammo count nerfs to SPAA at all ranks, making SAMs unable to be detonated mid-flight by incoming ordinance, using Simulator’s SP system so CAS is no longer a “powerup,” and giving all users default Fighters, CAS, and possibly SPAA/SAMs so nobody is even able to be truly “defenseless” anymore.
-
Give aircraft of all kinds (as well as tanks where applicable) a whole bunch more objectives to do beyond just kill each other. Supply lines, bunkers with working guns, bombing objectives, non-suicidal airfields you can strafe dead, merging functionality of spawns and caps so tanks get bigger maps and spawn killing is reduced without adding meaningless driving time, and making artillery much more lethal when called in while having it physically be on the map. Every piece of ordinance going at a non-tank target means one less potential forum whiner, which is only a good thing.
Notice that “TO” isn’t a part of that. I view TO debates as little more than being in the way of implementing even some of those changes. And as warrior has said numerous times, I highly doubt its supporters would actually be satisfied if it was added - no, they’d just find something else to complain about within the first day such a mode was added!
So we have tanks that should have changed B.R. not in TO but in all modes.
I know already, as said earlier, i’m willing to make concessions.
he just don’t want them because it dosn’t solve 100% of the problem (neither is TO)
So the D2 should be 2.3? To be unable to meet the L3? Then we need to spread the BR range for TO at least to 20.
Why for TO?
You have showed the problem in all gamemodes, not only TO.
Once you slightly angle the tank it becomes a far worse foe. In a good sense. There still isn’t reason to move it up since it wouldn’t perform well at 2.3 and most certainly anything in 3.3.
Except it is much the same. If a tank goes up on a ridge and is focused on pinning down one dangerous opponent, he is vulnerable to being side shot from any other approach angle. If he tries to angle to protect against both, he is protected from neither.
Air is a flank. Not everyone is equipped to cover it. If nobody covers it, then everyone pays the price. The “mistake” made is that at least one player doesn’t bother spawning CAP or a good SPAA/SAM expecting the planes/helis to appear (which they usually do). That is a “mistake” you can do something about instead of bloating this thread by 30%, now can you?
I see debates on it, which always discuss the exact same points with nothing new, as big fat smokescreens that get in the way of real productive discussion. I see overreaction to CAS amplified by such debates, which frequently leads to Gaijin sledgehammer nerfs that usually have knock-on effects in other game modes that didn’t deserve them. And that is why I want the debates on the issue to stop already.
Surely, even you can see how getting some of what you want is better than none at all, right? My concern with your “checkbox” idea is that we don’t know how many people would check said box. It could be enough to really disrupt queues, or so little that TO supporters still frequently get games with CAS and proceed to rant even more along the lines of “why am I not getting any games when I selected this option!” We already see this to an extent with night battles. At least with the weather compromise I suggested, it uses facts we know already, bad weather reduces map campiness by making long range shots harder, and the percent chance of bad weather is the same for all users.
Not a single person would. That has enough common sense to realize the idiocracy of a decision as such.
What part of my reply were you responding to?
Removing kill cam doesn’t stop player from finding You.
Start from the airport only makes planes come later and it makes it easier for camping at new players spawning (as they have no energy).
Simulator SP system will make things worse for people just wanting to play tanks.
Default fighters work in naval because most of ships have AI AA.
People attack players because they are players, not because they are the only target.
Because addition of TO would allow to change curret gamemode into proper combined one.
It is not the same, if You fail to understand that, there is no real place for discussion.
There is a huge difference when something is a player error and when player can’t do something about it.
If such checkbox was added and there were not TO battles around, I would say the same as I say to people wanting night battles - there is no demand for it.
Yes
Have some more cake
All the vocal TO askers still never replied and shown any proof they just die to aircraft every single game, or multiple games in row. Like i havent died to aircraft in GRB for a while now. Except when there are already tanks spawncamping us and we have last 2-5 people and the game is lost anyway.
Like the amount of deaths to planes arent even that high.
Is there any data on tanks dying to CAS
So in order to prove the problem exist, there needs to be so much deaths from the air?
Weren’t You the one asking me to do good stats in another air unit?
Yes, you never did so. Only you and your Corsair. Still calling bs on all these cries about dying to plane every game. If you do so, then you do something wrong or are extremely unlucky.
I have done it in british hellcat, You can check it.
The cake is a lie ;-)
