Why do CAS players so vocally oppose any suggestions

I still hate how they dumbed down GRB by removing friendly fire…

Where are you finding this because I don’t think that’s at all right.

It used to be based on how close you were to the enemy but some abused that and it got changed, but I don’t see it being this basic.

If you lead with hate don’t expect cooperation in return.

Im sure that airplane users getting killed because the other team member thinks their kill got stolen would diisagree.

They still get shot down. Friendly fire is still there for everything that involves aircraft.

It has only been dumbed down to make the mode easier for tankers.

Did they change this just recently, further than what they had before?

I dont get how activity is a multiplier, i assume its a reward in its self, as in being active, making hits, scouting, assisting, destroying, caping. Its all activity time based on how much of the match you spend doing these activities against camping just looking around doing northing

Not exactly sure what you mean. Airplane modes always kept the friendly fire. On ground forces…i think it was a year after beta, they removed friendly fire. It was abused too much. Planes can still bomb friendly targets in ground modes tho.

Yea, that’s how I know it to be. I too think it should be reverted because we really have a lot of player issues to be real.

They removed it after a certain real world event that caused players with the flags of the countries that were involved to teamkill each other repeatedly.

At the same time they locked country flags behind a paywall.

It was before that, where they already removed froendly fire in ground vs ground.

That was so long ago now come to think of it.

The “event” occured even before ground forces were added to the game.

What really gets me is that the MG spam on the back of someone isn’t reportable now…

But it’s like a massive beacon to the air threat (Even shows where a player or players are moving to other ground), and people just spam it randomly for no reason other than to be silly.

I played CAP heavily. You’ll find me in the other threads. CAP is generally seen as more effective/efficient and I spade SPAA by ground actions. My most played vehicle is a Supporting vehicle, the AEC II, used in 4.7-7.7 BR (handful of matches at own BR). Of course my RP/SL was poor using a low BR scout but that was all there was until 8.0, once they added the Warrior.

I get high RP from my supporting actions, not just kills. This is why I am aware kills are not required to gain RP. So in my case there is no “0 multiplied” as the mulitplier for wins works as intended using my activity (that does not mean kills). So I do not agree with your “win makes little difference” in terms of multiplier.

Activity time is the main gear behind RP. Which is why, along with a soft cap on it (more noticed by TT I presume), there are so many complaints on RP earnings. Kills have always been for SL, time and any relevant activity to acitivity/time.

Apparently not. It is achievable without kills. Assists are another way yes, as part but not the main earner just like kills. And funnily enough SPAA can be good for that if you take apart cannon and tracks for your team to finish off.

Again, I use CAP not SPAA, it is more effective (but for those minutes of course RP goes to air not ground, but I was lucky enough to not need any progress with most vehicles spaded).

Because we are not all with the same beliefs or focus in game.

There was a tutorial post on the old forum. ofc the true formula is hidden, but you can verify it by yourself: if you spawn, get killed and quit you get around 30% activity. Stay in the game till the end while being the top scorer and you’ll get around 90%.

it used to give you score for having enemy in line of sight, then they changed with “useful actions” and then again to the current system. None of the system used ever rewarded actions such as supporting the teammates with AAA (or protecting bombers with fighters if that means something).

This is just deflecting my point. You make a comment on players and a mode you know nothing about. That is all.

I do not care what you feel about ARB, but if the premise of your argumentation surrounds what people are doing in a mode you clearly know nothing about then it will be called out.

I’m not Gaijin. Please refer to earlier Morvan’s posts.

It is the game, so what is your point. I get to fly planes, drive tanks, pilot ships. Not a surprise.

Showing your lack of experience across the whole game. In context of your previous assumptions regarding CAS in AF and GF.

If you cannot answer my previous reply then hold off trying again. You have skirted around the points made as to your understanding of why players do what they do. Even after a few others have commented upon actual experience in other modes and CAS (GFRB is not the best for it at all, your understanding was purely made up as pointed to by never investing any time in it).

Yea, I’d still think that some of what the formula centered around, would still apply in some slight sense.

I just tell people to get in there more and they’ll get it.

And at what point does capping zones provide air cover for your friends exactly?

“Apparently” yes. Open a battle report and you can check if for yourself. It’s not an opinion. I never ever stated that ONLY kills give score. Capping is the second.

And, again, there’s not a supporting actions such as “was looking at the sky”, which, again, is exactly the point of my very first post.

If you’re going to use your SPAA as a tank, then you’re not providing air cover, which is the reason people can spawn in a plane or an helicopter and decimate the entire enemy team. But thanks for agreeing to the point that SPAA can only gain a decent score hitting enemy tanks and not providing reliable air cover.

Kills gives You multiplayers and rewards for winning got nerfed So ye, kills give You the most

Gaijin was to say that kilks are important.
