Just use 1 vehicle in match. That reduce chance that you get killed by CAS
Queue time isn’t an issue if there are people ready and willing to play the mode. If the existing mode is such a good and fun experience that won’t be a problem. If they leave, so what? Maybe try to have fun without others expense.
Also I don’t know what this myth is. Outside of super low BR ARB and naval queue times are virtually nonexistent.
I never said take their tracers away. I was advocating they could have stealth belts too.
WT playerbase is many times larger than it was before. This is not an issue lol
i get it but the point was they mostly didn’t have them in rl which is why they also don’t have stealth belts in-game
Tell that to the naval community
You know that song? You know that little song he wrote? That one about not worrying, and just being happy? Yeah, that is my spirit animal. I don’t spend my days worrying about CAS, I don’t care if there are planes in ground battles, in fact, I think that is one of the things that makes this game special. Some of my favourite vehicles are those that are there to deal with CAS, such as the WZ305. Some of my favourite moments in this game are those situations where you ruin a CAS players day (such as a QN506 nuking a KA-52 that thinks he can run back to the helipad and hide). I also appreciate how CAS adds another tactical and strategic element to the game - you can’t just sit out in the open, you have to think about where you’re going and what you’re doing, and you need to work with your team to take those CAS elements down. Heck, for some BRs, I like CAS because the enemy often will all jump into it and then drain their own spawn points while having no tanks on the ground to cap. For everytime CAS can help a team, there is another time where it will hurt its own team. For all intents and purposes it is balanced.
You know what I want next? I want bloody naval added to GRB. I want to be in an Object279 and having to worry about an enemy battleship sending a 12-16" shell my way.
We’re talking about GB’s queue times, not Naval’s. Those two aren’t connected in any way.
GB’s queue times are so quick that I always think servers might be down or something after waiting for more than 5 seconds in the queue.
Of course, they’re connected. Every game mode is connected with each other. If you have 200 people waiting for a GRB battle and 40 of them decide to go to Air Arcade and 60 decide to go to Naval RB, then yes, queue times will be slightly longer for Ground GB. Honestly, you only notice issues on Naval EC. To me, there should only be 3 game modes: Ground RB, Naval RB, and Air RB, and make each one like Enduring Confrontation.
Remove Arcade and Sim, and make the RB more like the previous sim mode. Thus, making 8+ game modes into 3, increasing the queuing population and reducing queue times for all.
Thank you, someone who understands my way of thinking.
The entire game should involve combined arms, featuring huge maps with various dynamic objectives and scenarios. There should be consequences for winning or failing certain objectives. For example, B-52 bombers could be tasked with bombing a bridge to stop an advancing tank and resupply column.
If successful, the tanks and column would have to find an alternate route or risk being intercepted by another flight of strike aircraft. Conversely, if they fail, the tanks could push through and shift the map border in their favor.
With this, there would be numerous opportunities to incorporate other aspects of warfare, such as logistics, rearming, and refueling trucks. I know I would enjoy driving to help supply fellow players. The possibilities are truly endless.
I don’t know that fighters had them IRL either. Why give them to fighters and not others?
You aren’t getting it.
Just because Naval is doa and has few players, doesn’t mean Air and Ground have any problems regarding player population, thus splitting the playerbase might not have such an impact as you like to think.
If my queues are almost instant in GRB, why should I need even faster queues at the price of sacrificing other people’s experience ?
Also, by removing AB and SB while changing RB into a SB-like mode, I’m pretty sure plenty of people would outright leave the game to look for something else, so your increase in queue population might not actually happen and you’ll cut through many options that cater to different people lol.
You’d literally create lose-lose situation with that.
Air battles aren’t combined arms, so you’ll either have to remove it, change it or simply give other modes their own standalone mode.
Yes, yes, they are. Let’s bring Patriot and S-400 systems into Air battles and obliterate people dogfighting in planes, how dare they be allowed to enjoy their vehicles without any interference.
Yeah but that’s naval lol.
There’s no need. There’s always tens of thousands of people online in EU/NA/RU. Only the least popular gamemodes will see long queue times, and that’s more due to things wrong with that gamemode - Naval has too many issues to list, Air Sim’s economy has been butchered due to exploiters.
I would love a patch that restructures the game modes to make them more fun, team-oriented, and worthwhile. While I understand the need for arcade, realistic battles, and simulation modes, playing the same game modes for 12 years has become a bit stale.
I just want this area of the game to be revitalized. It feels like everything else is getting an uplift, so why not one of the oldest, untouched mechanics of the game?
CAS players love to whine about the Skink as soon as you mention dropping its BR. “It’s too hard to kill!” You’d think they’d have learned how to kill a Sherman by the time they meet the Skink. CAS faces the Sherman as early as 2.0 with uptiers against the M4A3 105.
The Skink is just a bad SPAA and the armour isn’t drastically better than the Crusader AA Mk II.
And we don’t care about you either, so…
It’s all fun and games until you try to enforce combined aspect into their mode.
Remove air battles, have combined only and make it so CAS can only be researched through combined.
What constitutes as a CAS aircraft?
Why would you remove air battles?
How would a combined only mode work for non CAS aircraft?
