Why do CAS players so vocally oppose any suggestions

Most CAS players are not rushing CAS to this extent.

How would it even take 300 seconds.

One-way flight to an airfield on a 5 km map is 30-45 seconds depending on your plane’s speed (300-500).

If I’m playing against america, there’s propeller noise by 22:45, 21:00 latest a significant portion of my games.

If I get maginot line while playing my 4.3 SPG lineup, sure.

I belive it is max 3 minutes (180s)

It’s more like ~150-200

Depends on the map and B.R., in most cases can take much lower.

Prove it. When you record you are going to find out you are underestimating time.

I’ll try to record it for You when I think about doing an RTB as in most cases there is no need for it.

What is this A-1H thing, the other day this thing had 7 kills and was only 3 minutes into the game.

pretty OP CAS plane

Took me a few tries to get the “stupid landing” down to damage my plane just enough for repair timer to kick-in, but not extend repair time significantly.

F4U-4B Corsair on “Fields of Normandy” with 25 second repair time, 2x1000lbs. Earliest landing spot is about 5.5 or so

Drop first bomb on B: 01:00
Drop second on C: 01:06 (in real battle, you’d likely have a much bigger gap)
Rearm time begin: 02:20
Take-off: 02:50
Flying over C: 04:12
Dropping bomb on B: 04:20
Dropping bomb on A: 04:28

So there were 200 seconds between the bomb drops with a fairly untrained (25 second rearm) crew.

A maxed crew can rearm in 10 seconds, so it’s -15 seconds.

I’m confident you can land faster than I did.

So, I tried again on maginot(Winter)(battle) (earliest airfield landing spot is ~7kmish)
Dropped both bombs together at 01:30 on “A”
Started rearming at 02:51
Took off at: 03:20
Flew over B at 04:40
Dropped on A at 04:46

Here, time between the 2 bomb drops was 186 seconds, which would be 170 with maxed crew.

So!

Time from bomb drop to start rearm: Seems to be around 60-70 seconds.
Time from take-off to be able to drop a bomb : 60-80 seconds
Rearm time: 10-30 seconds (my highest trained non-premium aircrew takes 25 seconds)

Actual time needed to drop a bomb can vary of course depending on where enemies actually are on the map, your ability to spot them. However, simply being in range to drop a bomb (~2km) is pretty significant I think

And the corsair can drop 2 1000 lbs bombs, allowing a potential of 2 kills between fly-outs. It can also carry 4 HVARs for light/open top murder for even more kills/fly out.

It also has a built in airbrake for helicopter/VTOL style landings and is made for carrier landings (ergo: tougher airframe so wings dont snap off from slamming it into the ground). This is probably where you could get the highest timesave on my attempts as I feel I’m still not doing it optimally.

Video (when it uploads. Might take a year with my 30mbitU/3mbitD Superior Hungarian™ connection):

I do not even know where to begin replying to getting in CAS is a built in skill check when the wiesel 1a4 exists

Then why do SPAA exist in the game? The only job of an SPAA is to keep the sky clear, but if you say because of the SP difference SPAA shouldn’t be a valid countermeasure, that would mean SPAA have no reason to exist at all. At that point you can give the team who can get like 3 active Aircrafts simultaneously first an instand win. Simply because if you can’t defend yourself or your team against CAS you can directly leave the match because you can turn the tide anymore.

so why should a 70sp vehicle get a 100% instant win against a 1v3 of 500sp vehicles without needing any effort or skill?

CAS haters for some reason think SPAA should be untouchable and take absolutetly 0 effort to use (it’s already kinda like that now).

SPAA was built to shoot down planes, and it wasn’t good at it. CAP is and always was the better option. It’s been the exact same from WW1 to modern day.

Oh so You are good with it?

Factually ridiculously wrong.

The number 1 killer of airplanes is…… ground based anti aircraft guns until after Vietnam.

Then it became missiles….

Lol spoken like someone who doesn’t play SPAA 🤣

I’ve decided to CAS out of frustration at battlepass tasks.

APHE yak-9k.

“100% instant win 1vs3 of 500 sp vehicles”

I clicked on SPAA and it exploded without it being able to get any sort of 100% instant win in return. Turret traverse is a bitch, vertical guidance is also a bitch. Any return fire while flying away from the strafing run was quite easily dodged using lazy maneuvering.

Yep, Yak-9K is pretty ridiculous, but players choose not to complain about it, and Gajin chooses not to balance it, because it’s Russian and not American.

I don’t have american ground to test SPAA evasion with, but I’m pretty confident a corsair wouldn’t have any issues either with evading SPAA fire based on my experience flying them in other modes. Strafing is less viable, but you got rockets instead and 1000 lbs bombs.

SPAA have painfully slow turret traverse without maxed/expert crews, lacking often 20-30 degrees compared to max potential.

Facts, just got downvoted to hell on Reddit when posted a video of Su-34 being able to fire 6x Kh-38’s with it’s great zoom and gen 3 thermals on top of having ground radar and PESA radar. They still said stfu and it’s not OP and no bias.

I’ve never had any issues shooting down planes due to turret traverse, even with tanks like Ostwind
