In that case, they shouldn’t have named the event around the Chinese New Year and orchestrated all of the graphics surrounding the event in Chinese livery.
They should have done that for that aircraft event.
Because they’ve set it up like this - the Object 292 being the reward just feels like a spit in the face.

What else are they going to name it? There’s not many serious events around this time, and the aircraft event wouldn’t be the Chinese New Year thus wouldn’t get that name either.

Obviously - anything. Other than this.
If they were going to do a Chinese New Year event at all - make the vehicle Chinese.
Gaijin isn’t new to this. They plan things ahead. And I highly doubt that they will make the upcoming aircraft Chinese. Hence - my anger.
What I’m saying is - they’ve made the event focus around the Chinese New Year. This isn’t rushed, they’ve got all the graphics and “Dragon Boxes” ready.
And they CONSCIOUSLY made the event tank YET ANOTHER russian vehicle.
The aircraft is almost certainly not going to be Chinese because if it is - why wouldn’t they just make the plane come first with this exact same ‘Chinese New Year’ shtick?
They said they’ll make the next 3 event vehicles go “Tank, Plane, Ship”.
If the plane were Chinese, they would have made it come first instead with this setup.
Instead, they CONSCIOUSLY made the tank Russian while keeping the “Chinese Dragon” aesthetic. It’s very demeaning. There is no respect there. Because the vehicle has absolutely nothing to do with China. (And it doesn’t help that it’s a RUSSIAN vehicle, of all things - the nation that already has PLENTY of event and premium vehicles. So it’s complete filler.)

Gaijin literally is new to this, this is their first ever event in the new system.
You can’t be newer than this, so of course it’s not going to be as polished as future events.
Just as the IS-7 event was trash compared to the event of the next year after.
Vehicles take months to years to produce, jpg/png takes a day, static models a week at most.
The “new system” is quite literally just the old system. But with 1 vehicle instead of 4.
Also - making the Object 292 easily took more time than adding something like the MANPADS ZTZ-99 prototype (which is literally a ZTZ-99II without ERA and with the existing in-game HN-6 missiles attached to the side).
All of these Chinese vehicles I’ve been posting have been on the old forum for years. They are well aware of all the vehicles that can be modeled for China. They’re well aware of their system - it’s not like they decided to switch it up to this “new” system in a day. There are Chinese vehicles they could have added which would have taken less time than it did to model the Object 292, and so on.
The only reason why they added the Object 292 instead of anything Chinese… is simply NEGLECT.
Also - you say that it takes “months to years” to produce a single vehicle, yet every update averages ~30 new vehicles every 3 months. That’s an average of 3 days to produce a single vehicle. Gaijin is a huge company and many of these vehicles have existing components in-game.

No, in the 3 vehicle system they had up until the big event to finish developing all 3 vehicles.
With the new system they reduced development time for the first event by at least 4 weeks.
Being aware =/= starting development a year ago.
There’s no such thing as neglect here.
And no, that’s not 3 days to produce a vehicle cause Gaijin isn’t just 1 person developing vehicles, it’s hundreds.

For this portion of the event, yes, though there are more vehicles for the entire event.
I don’t really get the whole Chinese event thing, though. It’s 1 or the other in my mind.
Either have a chinese event and add some highly anticipated chinese vehicles, such as IFVs and APCs, or have something like a heavy-hitter update with a shit ton of big guns.
The issue is that it’s an event themed around China, so the event vehicle not being Chinese is a huge missed opportunity, especially because the BW120K exists which fits the Object 292 description of a turret with a gun way bigger than what is supposed to be there.

Many of their vehicles are model sets of data, which actually don’t take much time. I will take China and USSR top vehicles as examples, except that the production model has changed, all of them are data sets to realize the new production of vehicles.
Let us have the Mighty Dragon J20A since it is the year of dragon. Or at least we can have a taste of it during the April event :)
