Why couldn't I drop my nuke?

Hey everyone! I managed to get a nuke in the game today.
It was my first.
I’m a console XboX player. I was in a bomber, so the first thing I did was open the bomb bay. As soon as I reached the battlefield, I got the message “LT + Y to drop the bomb” on my screen. So, like a normal player, I pressed LT + Y. But apparently that wasn’t enough because the bomb didn’t drop. I kept pressing LT + Y, hoping the Gaijin would forgive me for never spending a dime on the game, but hey, it seems that’s a fundamental requirement because I ended the game when I was shot down, too far from the battlefield… after actually reaching the battlefield with the B29. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it possible that by messing with the settings and controls the game doesn’t adjust accordingly and therefore still shows “LT + Y to drop”? Because honestly, it’s pretty frustrating to spend three years of gameplay to get a nuke only to be gaijined at the last minute…

EDIT
And could Gaijin add a nuke simulator? Honestly, this wouldn’t be necessary if the game wasn’t so buggy, but there we are…

Which bind do you usually use for dropping bombs?

Normally RB. Maybe the screen was showing the default LT+Y, but it didn’t update after I changed the commands in the settings (I did that a long time ago, not during that match ofc)? That’s the first thing that came to my mind.

You should have used RB then. Afaik there is nothing different on a nuke apart from the model. You just drop it like a regular bomb.

The new pop ups for keybinds are honestly annoying. I accidentaly tried to scout somwone when not in sight and it popped a big stupid thing on screen and said I need to press buttons to scout.

I know hoe the game works stop throwing up random and incorrect keybinds.

Yes, they are confusing. Now, I’m sure I screwed up: I should have tried RB instead of just hammering away at my LB + Y button. But I think Gaijin needs to adjust their advice based on the changes they’ve made to the controls and settings.
