Why Centurion mk3 at 7.7?

I don’t get why it’s sitting in at 7.7

He just has a stabilised canon, but no mobility, no armor, no post pen damage…
And at 7.7, it means you actually play against 8.7/8.3 vehicules 9 games out of 10.

The FV4202 is so much more enjoyable at 7.3!

out of all the 7.7s. youre complaining about the most well rounded one?

hmmm, yes, a fully stabilised 84mm gun at BR where stabilisers are exceptions, not a rule. Not noteworthy at all.

also one of the highest penning shells of the BR range (that isnt HEAT, undertiered APFSDS slinger or the conqueror)

Because FV4202 lacks something veeeery important. Reverse.

You can never pull back with FV4202.

No reverse doesn’t bother me much tbh, since at least the matchmaking is fairer at 7.3

I can understand that for the 120mm of the Conqueror, not the 84mm that still struggle to pen is6, is4m…

The Centurions are eh at 7.7. The issue is compression. The tank is pretty mid in complete uptiers. Once decompression is implemented, it’ll be one of the best tanks at 7.7. For some weird reason they keep messing around with the APDS round. I’d recommend only using solid shot and saving the APDS for heavier targets.

Putting it at 7.3 would be really unfair for 6.3 tanks. It’s an absolute monster in downtiers, and the stabilizer carries.

god forbid, a medium tank cant frontally lolpen a heavy tank of similiar BR while not using specialised rounds. (and even then im bit sussy about the IS-6, especailly in the turret face area, but im not in the game currently to confirm).

I also complain about the t32e1 of the american tech tree, I think it should be at 7.3 with the t32, pairing them together basically

I mean, decompression is a real thing? Like, I always heard Gaijin doesn’t care and will never do it

Brothers, we wait. All we can do is wait.

thats a fair one.

however a stabiliser is such a massive jump in utility its worth it being 0.7-1BR higher than a close peer without the stabiliser. Centurion mk1 to mk2 or leopard 1 to leopard a1a1 as examples.

ive got about 1800 matches in Centurions and that stabiliser is the thing that keeps them a cut above the rest. They are brilliantly reliable tanks

They did kind of mess up the APDS. I can’t wait for decompression; 8.0 and 7.7 will finally be playable again. You guys should probably complain about this being 8.3 instead of 8.0 because it doesn’t make any sense.

Maybe I’m biased bc I didn’t unlock every modification yet, but even tho, I consider a tank should please me from start or it’s hard to motivate myself to grind it yk

I mainly use the APDS and I don’t camplain about it, I know it deals less damages and you must aim accurently, but my games can be summered by facing is4m, is6 and t54… So yeah I’d rather just pen them frontally even if it means less damages overall

especially as the vickers MBT mk1 has a much better engine now making the vijay even more worthless.

Honestly it could be 7.7 if it only had APDS (cant remember if it had HEAT-FS, my lineups are already full without the india C&P tree stuff so never play them) because of its poor armour and mid mobility vs its manufacturer example

british tanks take a while to get used to, we dont have the crutch that APHE is on most vehicles (and the ones that do are considerably higher than its peers in the major nation trees) so i get that.

you will eventually DW. can only shell shatter on a marder so many times before a crashout.

thats why i dont take the full bore AP. i aim for the gunner either way so it doesnt matter

It used to have one, but now only the premium variant (Vijayanta) has it.

would prefer for the Vijay to lose it so it can go down in BR so its not worthless. the India subtree is already comedically badly executed, its the least they could do.

It doesn’t even need to, because the HEAT-FS round isn’t that reliable, so you’ll mostly be relying on the APDS round instead. The only things going for it are the fast 5-second reload and the stabilizer. The Japanese Type 74 has a slightly slower reload, but it also has a laser rangefinder, unlike the Vijayanta. Gaijin doesn’t play their own game, so no amount of convincing will make the tank move down. The Char 25t is still 8.0. The Vijayanta also shares the same BR as the Olifant Mk.1A ☠️

This is off-topic, so I’ll make a post about it.
