yes, the M36B2 has access to HEATFS. Thats why i wrote i load HEATFS anytime i face 6.7 germany on open maps when im denied flanking.
technically? yeah.
will it stop the long 88 better than the armor of M-51? no.
Im also damn sure the premium M-51 uses the same hull as E8.
better mobility? sure
better armor? technically yes? will it stop long 88? no.
better gun? It can fire APHE. Large HE filler? sure. adequate to deal with most oponents at its BR? definetively. But also lacks any other ammo that would allow it to deal with things like King Tiger frontally.
again, not once i denied that or stated or even implied otherwise.
F and G have been 6.0 for a long time iirc.
F because of the rangefinder afaik, and G because of the Turret Chin making it far more difficult to trap-shot it.
The A used to be 5.7, and was a part of my 5.7 lineup for a while, then they bumped it to 6.0 for whatever reason. IMO it was fine at 5.7. It had a better turret traverse than the D (and maybe better mobility), as well as a roof MG, sure, but it was balanced out by being given some more weakspots, an even larger cupola (D cupola is hit or miss in my experience) and an MG port.
The D is still viable in the 5.7 lineup, just the lack of a good turret traverse is annoying. A was nice at 5.7, but nothing was really lost by putting it at 6.0, even if it was a rather silly decision.
Yea make sanse
So its just a better m51 at lower br lol
No but the short 88 yea and also another rounds like the russian t44 and t34 canons
I we dont count that and its also no longer available
Yea so what do u want heat that its extreamly unreliable or aphe that cant pen a tiger 2 h(u can try mf port)
Also in that case i take apcr so i could at least get the gunner if im face to face with a tiger 2h
First of all u are not angled and second the hit sim is lying and doesnt take volume metric into action
Even m51 turret can stop tiger 1 from distance from time to time
Wait i rememberd they removed it since when it came back?
Anyway we dont talk about this variant which is better and might be considred as p2w
Not a specific cenario
U have to choose one to play for the entire stock grind
Heat or aphe? Lets say 90 mm aphe
M4/T26 doesnt have APCR.
the m4 specificly doesnt have it but most of 90mm us in general has it like the pershing
On the m4 i just go for mg port if i have a shot and if not i try to disable
I agree that if u go against a tiger 2h the m51 is better cant argue with that but overall the m4 is much better against like anything else that isnt a big scary 6.7 heavy(some heavies arent even a problem to pen like is2 and tiger 2p)
and why are you suddenly bringing stock grind into question? most 90mm US guns start with AP as their stock shell, not APHE which is unlockable, so your hypothetical scenario of:
doesnt even work.
but we were not talking about pershing, we were talking about M4/T26.
I played it last week and i played alot of m51 i even put expert crew on it
No dout it can bounce shots from time to time (from the turret ofc not he hull)the e8 isnt realiable that u should count on ur armor but it saves u more then the m51
Just to note that that 90mm aphe is better overall then the heat
The m4 was a exmple for 6.0 or the br area in general
The point is m51 is not just strong but also weak in that br area with a singular pro and entire list of cons ahainst every tank it faces and it might even be the worst 6.0
