F-4F ICE is known to be under-BR’d, and Gaijin kind of screwed up.
Kurnass 2000 also doesn’t have AIM-7s, which is why it’s 12.3.

FGR2 performs identically to other aircraft for their BR, the only lethality difference between FGR2 and F-4J is off-the-rail performance of the AIM-7 AND high-altitude BVR capability that no one will ever do in either.
Of these aircraft, F-104S ASA, Kfir C7, JA-37D, and F1C are weaker than FGR2 in different ways.
The Phantoms are the 2nd best plane with only Tornado ADV being superior due to AIM-9Ls.
F-104S ASA IS the weakest 12.0.
Kfir C7 is mostly weak.
And JA37D is marginally weaker than the Phantoms.
F4J (US) and F-4S are more nimble and have HMD, as well as better IR and BVR missiles
Mirage F-1s have IRCCM IR missiles, are faster and have better CM loads. Also likely turn better.
Viggen D has a better radar, 3-4x the CM count, better turn performance, 9Ls and the same SARH missile
Tornado ADV/F3 are better in every single respect to the Phantoms except turn performance (and even then, only just) They have the best radar of the BR, best RWR at the BR, large CM count (though underperforming) better IR missiles, Better SARH missiles and are faster.

I dont know enough about either the F-104S ASA or the Kfir C7 to properly comment on placement, but i’ve heard the F-104 is pretty poor and over BRed.
Phantom FGR2 should under no circumstances be seeing any of those, but they do. Not all are avoidable, but 12.0 with their current loadout is rather insane. Especially those just unlocking them having to stock grind with only a few Aim-9Ds.

Unfortunately it’s the fate of most minor nations’ vehicles. Apparently the only minor nations that can escape the curse are France for aircrafts, Sweden for tanks and Japan for ships.
The current Mirage F1C and Mirage 2000C spam says otherwise, they are objectively both really strong and frankly undertiered planes. Also the Raffle received two questionable additional pylons… France Air has been treated really good recently, especially compared to most minor nations as I was saying.
Its really annoying having a whole team of supersonic fighters taking bases from the slow strike and bomber planes. Its been impossible to spade my Buccaneer and Vark because of them
yes these shouldn’t be present on the Armée de l’air version of the Rafale, they were a requirement only on the IAF export variant.
France has gotten some really good treatment, especially when they’ve gotten three subtrees (counted as one by the snail) from Belgium, Holland and Luxemburg, meanwhile other subnations like Britain just want Canada and Australia to stop being screwed over, Italy and Israel have just been forgotten lmao poor guys
A Phantom J or FG series aircraft can and do meme on F-16s and Mig-29s, not in a dogfight but in air RB when played correctly.
And until the players of F-16s stop being complacent around inferior airframes, they will continue to be memed on.
When that time comes we can talk about stuff.
FGR2 with 9Ls go to 12.3 minimum regardless of your incorrect assessment of balance.
Otherwise EJ Kai goes down to 12.0, and F-14A standard has to come back to 12.0; neither of which I want.
BTW F-4J and FG1 are slightly different in capabilities. If anyone says I’m wrong about FG1 and F-4J they are arguing that they’re identical.
That is not something you would use when talking about vehicle balancing. It can doesn’t mean it could do it well and it should. In no world the F4Junk can be on the same platform as the F4S/F4J in US tech tree. Let alone being able to knife fight with Mig-29/F-16

With a lot of exaggeration, the F-4K/M at 12.0BR in the ARB could be seen as a 'side-grading; in exchange for a “better engine” and a “better missile.”
It’s just nonsense that F-4J (UK) is in the same BR as F-4S. even on Air-Sim.
The fact that some people argue that the British Phantoms, the F-4J UK in particular, are just as good as the F-4J/S would be baffling if I hadn’t seen much worse takes.
The AIM-9L is already present on the 12.0 Tornado F.3, which also has the superior Skyflash SuperTEMP. the Kurnass (11.3) has the same loadout as the FG.1 and FGR.2 while being more agile, the only difference is lacking a PD radar. the british phantoms have better acceleration than the Kurnass, and a better radar, but are far inferior to the F-4J and F-4S in the US tree. This would mean that as it stands, the FG.1 and FGR.2 should be 11.7 aircraft. If the FGR.2 got its AIM-9L upgrade, it should sit at 12.0, and not higher, due to its worse maneuverability and lack of a HMD.
F-4J(UK) can’t use AIM-7F because British never bought AIM-7F
F-4J(UK) has slightly worse RWR because they got sold before being upgraded
F-4J(UK) can’t use 6 Sparrow loadout
F-4J(UK) even can’t use napalm bombs which now are meta for base-bombing but need to carry 6 conventional 1000lb bombs which have heavier weight and cause more drags. (if Phantom driver are interested on Base bombing for grind)
But just focusing on ‘both planes are the same F-4J fuselage’
At least, British domestic F-4K/M has a Spey engine which gives a better thrust ratio.
But F-4J(UK) even don’t have that R&R Spey engine because it is just an F-4J bought from USN.
