I’m not insulting. I’m just saying that realistic mode is a mode in which kills are not easily given to players and it must stay that way. If we start getting kills every time a player crashes, the interest in the mode disappears
Not every time
Only when they crash very near you… that doesn’t happen often, and when it does it’s usually because you were involved in it.
If ya’ll are going to project this nonsense about wanting “free kills” on to me, then I could do the same to you.
Maybe you don’t want maneuver kills because that means you can’t deny people their kills by crashing into the ground anymore
Giving the kill award to somebody instead of it vanishing into the void is not a punishment though… unless you grudge other players maybe?
Anyway we’re talking about maneuver kills when close to other players. Chances are, that G-lock or wing-break was not random but a result of dogfighting, and then it’d be fair to credit a kill.
Stat padding argument is BS also. You are assuming this about people you don’t know. I don’t care about my stats, but seeing as WT is a extremely grindy game, don’t you think rewards are important?
If I spend 3 minutes dogfighting a guy, and none of us get hits in because we’re equally skilled, only for him to eventually crash into the ground… then I walk away with nothing. There is no dogfight reward either, since Gaijin removed that. As far as the game is concerned I was flying in a straight line for those 3 minutes doing nothing at all!
You are NOT arguing in good faith as you flat out REFUSE any argument that does not agree with you. You simply get madder the more anyone doesn’t agree. You’re being childish.
And still… THE SERVER HAS ABSOLUTELY NO WAY TO EVER KNOW IF YOU “MADE” SOMEONE CRASH THIS IS NOT DEBATABLE.
I pull hard on stick. I skid my plane and enter a flat spin.
None of the bullets hit me but i am too low to recover from a flat spin despite best efforts to put nose down and counter wkth my rudder.
I crash and die.
I only pulled this hard on the stick because i saw a zero in my rearview mirror shooting at me and panicked and crashed my corsair.
Do you really think the zero does not deserve a reward for that? Really?
If your argument is “we can count maneuver kills because sometimes people will be credited with an extra kill once in a while” no I do not agree.
Is the Zero within 800 meters of you when you crash?
I’ve stalled out and entered the flat spin with them zipping over me. I’m losing ~100 meters/second while in a flat spin so even at 500 meter altitude, I’ll take a long time to hit the ground
It took a while to fall down to the ground and the Zero had gone on to fight my wingmen instead, so they got out of the 800 meter range.
They deserved the kill.
I deserve a kill after I tag someone and they ram in to me that doesn’t mean it’s always going to happen.
There has to be a cut off, 800 meters is a good cut off.
2 km seems more appropriate given speeds involved and stalls taking a ~3-5 seconds to result in death.
Unrecoverable flat-spins range from 2000 to 5000 feet depending on engine power and airframe. Going with maximum of 5000 should cover all plane types. 5000 is 1.5 km,
There is absolutely no merit to this topic.
Then stop posting on it then…
You’re quite wrong in this stance, as my suggestion of a method would pick this sort of situation up.
Maneuver kills should 100% be in game.
“SoMeONe mIGht gEt a fRee Kill” is not a valid argument against it.
if i outmaneuvered someone and he crashed into the ground i should 100% be credited for the kill.
it doesnt matter if he was going defensive or offensive.
it can easily be implemented as already stated with proximity.
“pEOpLe wiLL rAm” - as stated ramming kills should nolonger give kills simple as that.
Maybe an additional concession:
The two planes should’ve stayed near each other for 1 or 2 minutes within radius of 3 km or so. But that’s prolly more applicable to props than jets. Would prevent complaints about “Unearned” kills.
Ramming was a legitimate tactic employed in aerial warfare by multiple nations. A specific distinction is made that it is not considered “suicidal” unlike Kamikaze attacks.
Even nations like Britain and the United States had its pilots employing the tactic.
just straight up ignoring the problem
“uh uh, nuh uh, make another scenario i dont like your current one”
What i mean
by that are head-on suicide attacks. which should not give out the kill rewards and i think that it is already in-game.
I do know that the british pilots used “ramming” tactics and rightly so.
And what exactly is the problem ?
That someone can sometimes get a random kill ?
That is already a thing.
Wrong kill assignment
Still dont see a reason to not implement it.
I will gladly leave the kill like this to my teammate if that means it can also happen to me and the kill just doesnt go to waste.
Another solution is spliting the reward with all those that engaged.
