I don’t understand the point of such a feature, this teaches you nothing, it doesn’t benefit anyone other than the guy who just out turned you 10 seconds. It’s already pushing it with researching MAW, and god forbid you want your roll rate to be even slightly competitive. No, you have to spend real life time just to unlock a G-Suit that enables you to do something that you should already be able to do with a maxed out crew. It’s ridiculous bro, why did I even research the plane if my pilot can’t even handle a light turn?

Why have any modifications at all? It is something for you to earn, just like everything else.
Boosters, G-suit, and chaff should be stock items; they are basic tools for any fighter.
So you spend GE. The modification system has one purpose, get you to spend money to skip it, even just part of it. in 99.99% of case, once you have fully spaded a vehicle, you never have to look at it again, the only exception is external armour or dozer blades for tanks (that I can think of) and these could be managed seperately to the modification page.
By locking critical components behind mods, especially anything later than T1, people are highly likely to spend GE. I had to resist like crazy to just buy 1000 GE to skip those first few matches re-spading the Typhoon.
But some mods are just unacceptable these days, like there being 0 chaff for most aircraft stock. Sure, heavily limit it, maybe make it 2:1 ratio of flares:chaff. But no chaff at all, is just stupid. Likewise many ground attack aircraft lack a single ground attack weapon stock, this is equally stupid. There are other cases where stock grinds need improvement, but its those 2 that I think are some of the most pressing these days

I think I saw an official answer to this question, it was something along the lines of “well you can fly a modern fighter jet with out a G-suit. Pilots, move the jets around with out them.” apparently because people can ferry a plane in a straight line from point A to point B with out a G-suit it’s realistic to conduct combat operations with out one too.
