Why another New T1

Ok seriously why are we getting another T1. I think its fair to say most of us would rather the A10C or both. Or heck just for fun the P36 Peacemaker. or the American captured king tiger. or anything other than another t1 with everything the same other than its got a 90mm gun. because honestly the T1 isn’t even that good. the best tactic for it is use the engine as a shield and go super slow

I think out of all the semi-copy past vehicles this is the better of the lot, it was real, it was built and tested which is more than many testbeds and prototypes in the game. Also its a cool tank, it doesn’t need to be good, its like the TOG 2 in that sense mediocre in performance but so so cool.

As for famous captured vehicles, Britain is waiting on our captured Tiger, the most famous tiger in the world, 131. we also captured the E100 hull, several preproduction and production King tigers (131 uses the engine out of the King tiger P at the tank museum btw), nor do we have the REME panther, the last panther ever built and it was built by British spanners after the factory was captured.

America eats almost as good as the USSR in war thunder when the rest of us don’t get much. you could get the france treatment

I like this tank, but it could’ve been done via a switchable turret/gun combo modification, like the UH heli with the gren launcher switchout, or the various plane armament options.

But I also think the hull is different, thus it deserves its own distinciton.

theres tanks with less differences between marks which are counted as different vehicles so having it separate brings more vehicle diversity in even if its slight.

Yeah, but I think that War Thunder needs to find more stuff to do rather than make more bodypillows and copy and paste vehicles and premiums. and ill admit I’m a premium enjoyer but I’m not mindless about it I try being strategic about it I try flanking. Plus I let the other people help get the cap instead of rush there and get it on my own. Becasue I know the grind is hard not only that but top tier inst even fun anymore as its just a bunch of snipers that cant even see you. and honestly the only reason I go top tier is to bring the locust

It will, but I will be impressed to see a tank with a switchable turret/gun before long ;)

nobody used the GWP mod on TOG 2 so don’t expect there to be any change beyond it being an indicator to enemies that that tank isn’t spaded or is being used by a less knowledgable player and therefore is easier pickings. It would be a really cool mechanic but it feels like its too late for such a thing to be added into war thunder

I agree War Thunder has lost its way with content adding, but the 90mm T1 is proof that there is still some more creativity for non-premium/event vehicles lurking in the vault.

Speaking of the locust I find it weird that its in the USA tree when America never used it, it was built as a replacement for the British tetrarch, and was used by us once. I want to be an M22 rat too

I do agree with that. I do also find it odd that there are other vehicles that saw more service than the locust but yet they got removed it is odd. It is very annoying to most players but at this point I think they’ve had the little 22 rat for long enough there not going to get rid of it. Although I could be very wrong

Im not against it being in the US tree. Export tanks should also be in the native countries tree at minimum. It would be more accurate for it to also be in the British tree, also more fun if I can bring a locust and a fox into every battle

This isn’t copy-paste…

There are multiple variants of vehicles that can be better. The 90mm gun could make the tank a lot of fun to play and give more pen. There is no reason to be upset over it as you havent even had a chance to play with it yet. If you have no interest in even playing it then dont and move on.

I said “semi copy paste” for a reason. Most of it is identical to the T1 that’s already here, only notable change is a bigger bore gun

its either going to be another dumb heavy to sleep on or a really fun heavy to wrangle with

The entire turret is more than just “gun”.
That’s like saying F-16C is copy paste of F-16A, or P51H5NA is copy-paste of P51C…

yea, just have to wait to see the ammo it gets and the pen it has. I haven’t played the t1 in a while may just do that to see how it compares in a few weeks.

No it doesn’t. It adds nothing to the game. Its just more tree filler as Gaijin is want to do because its cheap for them, in a tree that is already overwrought with same-same vehicles.

please tell me the difference between the F16 A and C without mentioning armament or thrust.

Identical vehicles being placed into another tree is when its a copy paste by the way. just want to clear the confusion for you

Technically they are copy and past, just adjusted flight models. Theres nothing wrong with bringing in multiple variants of a vehicle though.

Its not even been added to the game yet you cant say it adds nothing.

by your logic pretty much every nation would be barebones because the upgunned later marks arent welcome. Abrams would only have a 105mm, Centurion would only have a 17pdr, pz4 would only have the low velocity gun, the big gun ARL44 wouldn’t be in game either, FV4005 and FV4004 gone too. even though their small changes completely change how they all play
