Why am I locked out of spawning via the crew lock for hitting a tree?

Read this slowly if you have to, take hours if needed, but you have to read it:

So not only are you asking people to be jobless and grind their life away but also you’re asking gaijin to stop selling premiums. I’m sure that will go over well with gaijin. You have such reasonable and well thought out ideas.

No, lmao. People ODL for many valid reasons that almost all fall under the envelope of “This isn’t fun and I’m not obligated to cooperate with not-fun gameplay”

You mean like telling somebody they have to suffer and have a bad time for 15 minutes because they have to exist there for the sake of another person’s enjoyment? That kind of positive mentality?

In most cases I often leave a match when my team is clearly not interested in leaving spawn or when my team seem awfully blind and not checking their map.

Me staying in a doomed round will not change anything and the fact people get this angry over us leaving matches we’re gonna lose anyways is so silly.

I don’t need to. I know exactly what I’m implying in the long run.

I said nothing of the sort and even playing one or two hours a day or every few days gets some progress to basically anything. Curious mental gymnastics.

It’s almost like it’s a PvP game. Where sometimes you lose, sometimes you win.

Then why are you playing warthunder to begin with if you don’t find the game fun?

Yeah, you did. You want to effectively ban premiums unless you pay $180-240. That leaves jobless grinding or $240.

In a year.

I don’t stay in lobbies that are unbalanced in any other pvp game either. I play for enjoyment. You’ll note, my enjoyment. Not yours. Hope you learn this soon.

Nowhere did I say this.

I didn’t. Nowhere in even a single post did I say I did.

It doesn’t take a year to get midway through a nation. Not in Naval, certainly not in ground forces. Premium account or not, it 100% doesn’t.

Maybe a month or two tops.

You literally said it yourself in the quote I quoted.

So does that mean you’d leave the lobby if your team was winning?

Sounds more like ‘I am losing and don’t want to try and turn it around’, aka quitter behavior. Which in and of itself is toxic.

Settle down.

I agree there are valid reasons for ODL and have done it myself on occasion. I make every effort to play out the battle from beginning to end and have been part of some great games where the team pulls out a victory when it seemed like we were going to lose. The best battles are the close ones.

ODL is still a problem in WT especially in the higher tier battles. Gaijin has attempted to fix it with the daily backups but even that implementation is flawed as it seems for some vehicles we don’t get the choice of which backup to use which makes absolutely zero sense. Daily backup, premium backup, nation backup or the regular backup, let the players decide which one to use and that might address the problem. Also allow us players to use more than one backup per vehicle. Pretty sure these ideas have been suggested yet nothing has been implemented by gaijin, why not?

As stated the ODL problem is rampant in the higher tier battles so much so that I just don’t play them much anymore. For me the biggest issue is the piss poor map design and implementation and secondary is the release of broken vehicles. Gaijin makes money from vehicle sales and not from maps. A good map, in my opinion, would include the option for various play styles, sniping, flanking and CQC in a single map that can accommodate the strengths of the various vehicles. Most maps in the game are not suitable for high tier. I think the addition of those map styles would improve our player experience and has the potential to mitigate the ODL problem but like I said Gaijin doesn’t make money on maps.

Feel free to include your suggestions on how to minimize the ODL problem in WT as I’d like to read them.

Happy hunting.
