You’ll hate this then.
No. As far as we know the turret was completely functional as it was a modified 1a4 or leopard 2 Protoype. I forgor. But it was functional none the less
Not choosing a turret =/= the turret is not functional.
It’s a Leopard 1A3 turret, which is functional.
EMBT was added as well… using a functional Leclerc turret.
Then you extrapolate somehow and at least take the R2Y2 route and make it physically possible if nothing else.
What isn’t historically accurate.
Embt was fully functional. The turret ring worked. The gun fired.
But the vehicle is already here, so I would rather have it be at least physically plausible given Snail will never remove it entirely from those who already have it.
The turret drive still being in development doesn’t mean the tank is fake.
It was just cancelled prior to that development finishing, which still makes the vehicle real.
Entirely different to Coelian that didn’t even have a turret produced.
The Leclerc turret on the EMBT was/is integrated to the point of actually working.
The turret on the Radpanzer 90 was just sitting inside the hull, acting as ballast for driving tests.
My whole point is that the majority of a vehicle having been built is enough for WT anyways and that puts the Radpanzer 90 in the same group as the planes that never had guns, but were planned to have guns or other vehicles that just weren’t finished.
As a Japan Main, it is very unlikely we will see War Thunder’s interpretation of the Ho-Ri Production. Nor its version of the Ho-Ri Prototype.
However 3 suggestions already exist for getting the historically accurate versions instead. Albeit their BR’s would be lower. Due to the armor not being as effective.
But this is not all of them. Since there is 3. Meaning it would be 6.0, 6.3, and 7.0
Not unless that was recenty - I visited Kublinka in 2018 and it was still there.
Its kinda confusing, so whats the point of the rules in suggestion. And the Soyuz was added with only the hull made, yet Gaijin defends its implementation.
@Smin1080p_WT would be nice if you can clear this and update the rules
Naval has different benchmarks, look at HMS Lion and most of high tier USSR Bluewater.
a suggestion can be made for a vehicle even if its just a drawing on a cigarette packet.
Yak 141 kinda breaks gaijins own rules but thats russia tree for you.
Ships are game if they are laid down, even if there was never a chance of them being finished even if the shipyard wasnt threatened. thats why Soyuz is in its soviet pipedream config rather than a still very unrealistic but heavily comprimised fit like it probably should be.
its also why things like HMS lion are fair game. paper ships are allowed just so that theres some actual possible additions. Tanks/Air doesnt need that concession
Tosa was unfinished.
Gneisenau never got the 38cm fit, nor was any work planned.
Ersatz Yorck was only a hull at most. Mackensen in a similar position. At least one of the Bayerns were unfinished.
I can keep going. Soyuz isn’t an outlier.
The most we should get is the Panzer 2 hull with the Panther D turret as a 6.3 medium tank for Germany.
Remodel the Panther II to be realistic and make it available for research again
Once again, I find myself having to suppress these common uses of outline ships added way atfer the first never finished ships, the Project 23 isn’t the first nor the last for outliner machines that are powerful.
Furthermore it has been proven often that NF vessels have different rules to GF machines although AF aircraft seem to often surpass them (Yak-41 & F-16AJ)
Italy:
• Commandante Margottini, Commandante Medaglie d’Oro class Destroyer
• Etna, Etna class cruiser, Originally ordered as HTMS Taksin, Taksin class cruiser
• Francesco Caracciolo, Francesco Caracciolo Battleship, never finished
• Conte di Cavour, Conte di Cavour class Battleship, AA refit.
Japan:
• Amagi, Amagi class Battlecruiser
• Tosa, Tosa class Battleship
Technically speaking the only true fake vessel since the devs screwed up the model: Type 5, the Project 23 is more real than this…
• IJA Type 5 Escort Boat, wooden version was real, steel version was never built, in game it’s a chimera of the two.
• T-51b, fixed, used to be a fake version.
France:
• Clemenceau, Richelieu class Battleship
Germany:
• Z15 Erich Steinbrinck Type 1934A, Projected AA refit from my understanding (subject debated due to serving until wars end)
• SMS Sachsen, Bayern class Battleship, not completed
• Ersatz Yorck, Ersatz Yorck class Battlecruiser, 5% completion
• Gneisenau, Scharnhorst class Battleship, projected armament refit
• Z46 & Z47 Type 1936C, both scrapped on their slips.
• Z51 Type 1942, sunk in air raid iirc.
•Z52 Type 1944, dismantled on slip
• Mackensen, Mackensen class Battlecuiser, never finished
• VS-10 apparently, trails done, ready for fitting out but bombed in air raid.
The Soviets/ Imperial Russia:
• Project 68BIS-ZIF Shcherbakov, projected AA layout
• Project 69 Kronshtadt, 12" armed never completed
• Project 69I Sevastopol, 15" armed never completed
• Project 23 Sovetsky Soyuz, never completed
• Project 41 Erevan, never finished
• Project 82 Stalingrad, never finished
• Izmail class Battlecruiser Izmail, never finished.
Feels weird finally adding Britain:
• HMS Lion, Lion class Battleship 1938, Never completed.
Ship should be at least laid down (unfortunately).
PS there aren’t really any strong rules, Gaijin can implement whatever they want, hide it from research/purchase if it doesn’t meet criteria, but regularly return it for short time, like with Bf-109Z-1.
I mean, there is a claim of a single prototype having been completed floating around the internet, but I can’t tell what it is based on.
Gaijin obviously seems to believe that claim to be true
