Who gets to call what is "Copy-Paste"?

What exactly should be considered modified? Is the M24DK modified cause it’s slightly visually different?

Physical differences, like the engine, gun, armour etc

Are the M109s all considered copy paste? Most of them are slightly different.

what are their differences?

Iirc the M24DK also lacks smoke grenades unlike the American/Italian/Chinese/Japanese M24s

America and Britain both have the long barrel M109A1 with a .50cal

German M109G has short barrel and MG3

Italian M109G has short barrel but a .50cal instead of MG3

Israeli M109 has no G in the name, but I think it’s identical to the Italian one.

Israeli Rochev has long barrel and .50cal like the US/GB M109A1, but it also has an extra roof mounted 7.62.

These are all basically 50 cal modifications, do they all play the same?

Yes, the gameplay is the same. The only real difference is the long barrels are at 6.3 whilst short barrels are at 6.0

basically the same but with light variations then

I’d still consider them copy slop, mainly because they were added in place of unique vehicles.

It seems the M109 is lighter than the Italian M109G but lacks smoke grenades

yeah as i was expecting when they announced the M109 that Germany was gonna recieve the PZH2000

that is fair and I agree with that, don’t know enough my self about the unique vehicles that they replace though

Not any modifications to the tank, so its copy paste.

As I said before, I don’t really mind them adding vehicles that were already in service in other countries. What I want is for them to have something that differentiates them, like the M24DK, for example. They should do this for all the other tanks they’ve put in service in various countries. They could simply find a real photo of the vehicle in service in that country and make the model like that, with or without fenders, with backpacks in certain places, or crates, etc. Or, for example, in the case of the M44, add a canvas roof to some of them.

I also have to admit one thing: I accept the copy-and-paste changes if they at least make the modifications I mentioned earlier, but it’s quite annoying when they copy and paste mediocre tanks like the M44. It’s not a bad tank at all, but after playing it in only one tech tree, it becomes extremely annoying and boring. I would have preferred they only added it to two or three tech trees. I feel the same way about the M109, although I think it’s somewhat better, so it’s bearable. Regarding the M55, I honestly see two options: either remove it from the game or give it 80 or 100mm of explosive penetration, because the M55 is such a horrible vehicle that it’s completely unnecessary in the game. The M44 is simply much better in the same battle royale, and on top of that, they add it to four or five tech trees, just to make things worse.

The summary is a copy-and-paste job, but with changes to the 3D models. It shouldn’t just be cluttering all the tech trees with completely useless vehicles that add nothing to the game.

PS: I’m still waiting for the Brummbar late model, which would be like the M44 but slower and armored—something completely different and interesting. Unfortunately for the devs, they can’t just cut and paste it across five tech trees (maybe that’s why they haven’t added it yet).
