I’ve honestly had some great and fun matches in it but that is very situational, mainly if the rng gods let the spikes kill something, if it’s a map I can play hull down and if your team is advancing forward so you can get to a cap when ammo runs out.
Gaijin’s great works: 61 tons of waste
Anyone else find the horizontal turret traverse extremely lackluster? Are there any sources for its traverse speed? For a unmanned turret weighing about 1-2 tons, you’d think it could traverse faster than some MBTs… 30*ish is quite slow imo…
To be fair, from what I’ve seen explained, the Remote Weapon System on this particular Namer was one of the first to hit the market, so it might just be a drawback of it being an early prototype.
Maybe, maybe not. Totally baseless conjecture to try and justify something for the Snail when the well publicized heavy armor is ignored. I swear we are our own worst enemy in this game , not Gaijin which is really saying something. Support for nerfing other vehicles and this kind of conjecture justification that Gaijin may lash onto is helping kill what was once a decent game (along with tons of high tier premiums flooding the game).
I guess that’s fair, but we do know the optics are wrong. It was bug reported that the sight it and the Vilkas use should be 3x to 26x instead of 3x to 10x.
Wow 3x to 26x that would be incredible
Indeed. It would be nice.
Just copy the bug report that was made for the CV90105 magnification
“I don’t have any sources but i think it’s inaccurate”
Should get it fixed
The weapon station that the Vilkas and Namer use is called the Samson. The Vilkas uses the Mk.2 while the Namer we currently have in-game uses the Mk.1. Both weapon stations share the same optics among other things. The optic they use is called the SIGHT-25HD.
The source listed is the Sight’s Brochure. Under “Full HD Daylight Channel”, you can clearly read that the manufacturer has stated the sight has a lens zoom of 26x.
I think you misunderstood
They f’d up the optics for the CV90105 from a guy saying he doesn’t think it’s correct but he also said he didn’t have any sources whatsoever, somehow that was enough for Gaijin nerf the optics and used that bug report as the reason
So sources or not, eventually it should get changed :P
Ah, I assumed you were mocking me.
Not at all
Just taking a jab at Gaijin’s weird/bad bug reporting system
they wont fix israel because it does not make much money to them, is a small techtree that you can unlock fair easily so it HAS to be shit so you get disappointed and go spend 70+ to buy sweden/germany premium pack to unlock OP veichles.
Btw this is show how incompetent they are claiming the game is realistic but giving us a damn tank hull weighting 60 tons missing a 30 ton turret that can’t resist 30mm to side…
I am not an IFV engineer, but… how does this even work? Where did all those tons of weight go…?
I think in real life Merkava Mk.4 just weighs 80 tons, just as the IDF has stated several times, which should result in Merkava finally getting its armor fixed, since Gaijin’s current premise is that “it can’t have good armor weighing just 65 tons with that much composite armor”.
knowing gaijin they’ll up the weight but not the armor :(
It would make them more money if they’d put more into the tree and make the vehicles good.
IMO, the Merkava should be the best protected MBT in the game.
They are probably best protected against heat projectiles, but the Leopards will probably still come out on top against APFSDS
Although the leopard may have higher KE protection frontally in total, the Merkava Mk.4’s biblically accurate protection would be just as effective in game, despite being marginally less, given we don’t have any KE rounds that can penetrate 700+mm KE other than the LOSAT (which honestly is never going to realistically happen since no one even plays that piece of crap). The Merkava Mk.4 has substantially better protection overall, especially in terms of chemical protection, and especially better protection on the sides. The overall protection is substantially more in comparison, making it technically speaking the most armored tank of the two. Honestly, I might also see the sides of the turret being heavily armored, enough to the point of even withstanding some Kinetic rounds shot at a turned Merkava Mk.4 turret.
But until something changes with the state of the Merk ingame, the Leo will reign supreme in the armor department (for now… mwahahaha! Israeli Modern Maus TMsoon!)
off topic, but that’s hilarious
