Where is the armor on the Namer, Gaijin...?

Stop it, it’s pointless, we have the Ariete featuring still ridiculous air pizza armor, the Merkava that looks like is made of plastic and you’re asking them to fix the namer? Please be serious, be happy for what you got

its hard to be happy with apc that doesnt perform like it should be and lacks the protection its supposed to have
plus now that they butchered the spikes again its even worst

Nah screw that. I’m not going to pretend like I’m happy with getting another botch/gimp job IFV implementation.

You’re wasting your time then, the Ariete lower plate can be penetrated by a panzer iv F2, it’s been years and they didn’t fix it

I’d rather fall trying than give up along the way.

which Namer?

Theoretically, all Namer (determined by the number of engines purchased)

Interesting, in my service, we were told the Namers had 1200 hp engines. Only recently the Namer 2 was announced, with a 1500 hp engine. And thats just the APC variant. There are no IFV Namers in IDF service as of now, unfortunately.

Despite 6 months passing and photo evidence, the Namer (both old and new) still lacks its internal side composite - Machinery of War Discussion / Ground Vehicle - War Thunder — official forum

For those still invested, I have made a new Forum Post addressing the new Namer. I appreciate everyone for helping bring this issue to light.

It has been locked for reasons I was not given. Oh well.

Anyway, here’s the new Namer still completely missing its internal side composites.

Who the hell makes the armor models for Israel??? With such armor on the Namer in-game it wouldnt survive a rocket that got destroyed by the APS even 10 meters away, makes NO SENSE AT ALL

Meh, classic gaijin, literally only two nations have armor in this game and u except guys thats actually israel gonna get their armor? ofc not, they care about realism and historical accurate only if its fits their vision, mostly ruski bias ofc.

@Smin1080p_WT I made an engine report for Namer. Can you forward it to the development team for me?
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/YTbpLE8e9L0o

I don’t believe this related to the namer variants we have ingame, only the APC variants. Just saying “I believe it should have this engine” isn’t enough for gaijin. Unless you submitted hidden sources I can’t see, then sadly this isn’t a viable bug report.

To be precise, the game already has at least one APC version of Namer, but it uses a remote control weapon station called RCWS30.
Moreover, there is still no Namer-IFV in service in IDF because they are still being tested. According to DSCA documents, the purpose of purchasing engines is to upgrade the Namer-APC, which has been in service since 2008. Obviously, Israelis know that Namer’s mobility is not very good, and Namer-IFV is modified from Namer-APC, so it is not difficult to achieve that the IFV version will use a better engine.

Again there is no direct proof this engine was ever installed on the Namer-IFV Testbed we have ingame. Unless you can prove otherwise, gaijin won’t accept your report. You say the engine was purchased in 2019 yes, is there any direct proof of the exact model of Namer-APC is was sourced from and if that Namer even underwent any engine transplant? If you can’t find info suggesting this, I don’t think we can expect any changes in the future.
