Yes but you cannot fire the LG weapon without using the laser so it’s kinda a moot point.
It’ll pick up the emission within between 5 and 10 seconds of hitting usually, I notice it most while using the Super Etendard with the likes of 2S38 or the ZTZ Mbts
How is that a moot point if you can point your laser somewhere else and just laze the enemy tank at the last moment ?
The missile or weapon is extremely likely to miss then? Have you actually tried to do that? xd
Yes, method is tried and tested even with worse missiles like Hellfires. If I can do it with Hellfires from 8km away, I’m sure someone with JAGMs can do it as well from 5-6km away.
Missile simply doesn’t need 5-10s to stabilize.
It’s not, i’ve done it plenty of times in the YAH-64.
The folks ur firing at must be slow as hell man ngl. xd maybe I’m used to just reacting to it too much.
Generally when folks try it to me, or vice versa, it misses, or I react fast enough to make it miss.
- when I have LWS I mean, without it nah games over xD
Or people aren’t just staring at the sky waiting for a Laser warning to pop off.
nearly 4 thousand hours and god knows how many high BR battles has left me paranoid of helis xd maybe that there is why I find it useful af
Only other nation that has LWS is just Israel, Japan, I think Italy has a few, and a few Chinese tanks.
They will most likely add the rosy system that integrates the LWS with the addition of the sep v3.
On the spearhead dev server they experimented on the sep v2 model with the rosy smoke launchers and LWS and them they removed it, this indicates (from my perspective) that they will probably add it when the sep v3 releases(hopefully December update)
Britain has LWS as well btw in the
Challanger black night.
China has them from I think the ZTZ99 II and III onwards, the VT4A1 has one as well as the WZ 1001 as far as I know.
France has one on the Leclerc Azur someone said to me above.
Isreal has a lot of em.
Germany doesn’t .
Russia has the T90M with it that is it.
Italy I don’t even know if the ariete gets LWS
Yeah one can hope man tbh.
Id like to see a new abrams finally. Even if it isn’t much different.
Well, considering Israel has a different design philosophy than every nation it makes sense. And the ZTZ99 is a BRAND NEW tank, like, less than 30 years old, all the others are mostly 70’s-80’s NATO tanks that have gone through major upgrade blocks.
Similar case with the newer Merks. First run was introduced and fully entered in 1979 or 1981, don’t remember which one, and the upgrades have been getting much much better with every modification and block upgrade. It’s a Fairly new and advanced tank.
The T-90M is, well, base design is old as dirt, but super modernized.
I’m pretty sure the AZUR is also a fairly modern upgrade block to the standard Leclerc, with the same centric design like the Merkava and PSO leopard upgrade.
Okay? Whats the point of saying all of this??
I was merely telling you all the nations which have access to LWS on their MBTs. You said a few of chinas tanks, well most of them from 11.0 have it.
then I added the extras to the list like Britain , France and Russia, irregardless of how modern the vehicles are.
Pretty much just based off the ZTZ 96 though so it’s not that new.

in fact, on the SEP series on the game, this was on the DEV server before it was removed, so, probably or maybe SEP V3 when it comes gaijin will give it to it?, idk, but its already modeled.
Exactly what i said, and yeah probably
To explain to you and OP ( @ZeroHunt000 ) why America doesn’t have/use them on the in game SEP models. If the 3 and 4 get added, they should both have them IIRC.
The ZTZ99 is in no way based on the ZTZ96…
A simple google search could have saved that one, but I’m guilty of the same things, so no judgement.
Oh i know why 😃
The older ZTZ 99 I and II have similar transmission, engine, elongated “t72” hull, same as the ztz 96, same cannon, same auto loader, same ammunition bar more modern.
Thats my point.
Im not talking about the likes of the 99A the hyper mobile one which is more akin to a western mbt than a chinese one
Edit, though it guess thats the same as saying CR is based off of cr 1… So yeah guess you’re right man. Ill leave this here for all to see.
The 96 is based on the Type 88 (T-55 Derivative) and the 99 is based on the prototyped 98 (T-72 derivative)
