My point isn’t this rather that parity takes time to come.
Idk what you are referring to here
Devs are committed to December updates (before Christmas) as it’s one of the best times for revenue.
Also you underestimate the development time here, we know that they are testing aircraft a while in advance and this was likely the case for just the Euro fighter and Rafale. Hence they had 3D models with some work on FM already.
If other 4.5 gen aircraft were to come all at once it would probably push the update to February as developers get time off in start of January.
that was said in correlation to the statement bellow, cuz the point of “them making a decision and being time pressured” isn’t our problem, if those decisions make game worse by bringing more imbalance.
and this still isn’t our problem, it should have gone in the fashion of Update 2.37 “Seek & Destroy”, i know that they didn’t make the best case there and should have added F/A-18C in the same 2.37 update, but it was the most “balanced” update and gen 4.5 aircraft should have come the same way, to all nations at once.
They could have done this, but some times they don’t take this route. And this time they need the hype for this update as the company is motivated by money not opinions.
and we as a playerbase should be taking into account balance, not going into their(developers) shoes and defending poor strategies, such as adding an OP vehicle to some nations and not adding similar vehicles to the other (pantsir, F-15E/I, EFT/Rafale etc)
also dev just got updated to .26 and even developers themselfs admitted that F-15E/I, EFT and Rafale are different from all the other aircraft by changing their BR to 14.0, wich means they(developers) knew this fact as well, when they added F-15E/I a month ago, just as @Bad_Karmaツ said:
Next big air update may well be the SU-30SM, JAS 39E, and J-10B/C which would bring the current worst top tier nations up to the level of the Eurofighter, Rafale, and F-15E/I.
Two of those aircraft have been leaked already, and the Gripen E doesn’t seem like too much of a stretch bringing it’s A2A loadout up to par with the rest of top tier by adding two pylons
I’m more trying to address unrealistic expectations, and if I was the decision maker at Gaijin I would be doing the same. They want their bonuses and so would I.
In case of the F-16V, US has no F-16V
Nations having ordered the latest F-16V are Bulgaria, Bahrain, Morocco, Jordan, Slovakia and Taiwan.
F-16i Sufa, is a Block 52+ Aircraft and does not feature all F-16V features. Although lots of stuff is done by Israel itself, I would not call it a gen 4.5. Sufa has no APG-83 AESA Radar.
Swedens 4.5 gen fighter is practically just the Gripen E, which the Italians technically have from the EBS HU, but it’s a super toned down E.
(E should have the ‘Raven’ AESA ES-05A radar, which is arguably way too advanced in the current meta with the paired airframe and weapons that would come with it)
I would bet that the next update will have more 4.5 gen aircraft and have been in plans for a bit now. You just can’t expect it to come this update. “But they could have delayed it, so it all came at once”, Gaijin will and always include hype bringing vehicles to their updates even at the expense of balance e.g. F-15E, Pantsir.
you’re right, other gen 4.5 aircraft won’t come till next update, also we won’t see a R-73/R-77 fix for a long time and much more stuff won’t come, that’s why i will vote with my wallet and voice my opinion, so that maybe there would be more people like me and devs would stop using such underhand tactics, cuz it’s not okay to do so
I’m hopeful that the SU30SM revives USSR top tier air, but doubtful.
The FM will likely be a carryover from the SU27, with TVC. R77-1 is needed, but according to Gaijin, having a sustainer motor doesn’t make the missile much different.
And to be honest, it will still never compete with the EFT. It’s simply inferior.
