When will something ever be done with top tier 3min matches?

These one-team-steamrolling 3-4min fox-3 spam fests are getting old really fast.

Not only are they incredibly uninteresting but the ridiculously short duration also means you get very low SL/RP rewards. Something has to be done that isn’t just increasing spawn distance/map size/team size because that clearly doesn’t change a thing. Flat maps also make this problem 100x worse because there is no way to hide.

The community has been asking for RB EC for ages, we need spread out objectives that actually matter and possibly respawn with other crews/planes similarly to ground RB in a attrition like game mode.

At the very least, we need EC maps for top tier games, but it is surprising to see Spain and cities still on the map table.

The big flat maps are worse than small spain to be honest, spain usually makes for longer matches that flat maps with air spawn

EC or something more long form is desperately needed for Air. This is something the devs at least need to address.

If they’re not going to provide something longer form for Air then tell us why not.

If they’re working on something then just let us know.

We’ve been left in the dark on this topic for 6+ years. It’s getting insulting.

How do you expect someone to do anything, if when you’re suggesting things you’re insulting them by making out that they won’t because it’s too much work?

This is a commonality in these threads, more so than you died or lost…

Removing 16v16 in air RB and making the max 12v12 again would be a nice and easy start.

We already have EC sized maps in top matches.
Also Spain and old Afghan were requested to come back, they are great maps and matches last ~7 minutes on them despite their size.

Not really. It’ll help prevent a snowballing effect for the winning team, which would lead to longer matches.

Plus, non 16v16 matches allow planes that don’t fit the furball meta to work better, like most American prop planes, and planes that can’t dogfight that well.

You can bring the most mountainous and biggest map into the map cycle, but this won’t change anything:
The horde will rush in, slam their missiles and die.
They are not able to do anything else, because they never learned the basics.

This problem is home made with all these hight tier premium together with “I only grind” dudes and players thinking base bombing is a good idea in toptier. The connection to GRB makes it worse. The reward system is counter productive.

You can thank the addition of small maps with the inclusion of ARH missiles.

This might be an obvious/stupid answer but why not make it so you get a massive bonus for staying until the end of the match? or at least for playing all of your vehicles and running out of sp. That, or making it so that you get a massive reduction for leaving early.

This sounds like top tier Arcade. My son enjoys it. The matches last longer, but the economy sucks, but at least he has some fun :-)

He uses some tactics he learned by watching vids from this guy:

Economy: 25 kills (max 1.3 downtier) without dying, 97k SL, 22k RP…with premium…~ 13 minutes…

But the FM’s are so yucky, also all those assists are a no no for me, weapon reloading, wep limit… Thanks but no thanks. AirRB is a good middle ground between realism and accessibility. Just wish that I didn’t get spotted for everybody every time a single enemy spots me.

But this is exactly how it is currently, time has the most influence on rewards, you will get much more RP/SL in a long losing game with a single kill and a bit of ground farming than an ace and win on a short match because your team steamrolled the other.

Having respawns, preferably on multiple airfields or air spawns in different areas on the edges of the map where no enemy is present would fix that
