When is the J35XS going to get a lower BR?

And I’m excited for Japan to get the Mitsubishi F-2, the F16AJ is still delightfully balanced at 13.0, I keep thinking the F-2 will be a much better F16AJ. Sweden is sad

Ya it has 2 suns burning but the Js literally lock on to any and all flares for some ungodly reason and thats even if you can make it behind the F14 when everyone is Missile jousting with SARHs and your rocking 12 counter measures

going to 11.0 makes it sit where it was before getting constant uptiers in the blck void of 12.0 premiums. 10.7 makes it slightly less than it was before so youll be facing Less SARH jousting. Id say it would be usable at 11 but a good plane at 10.7.

Did you use your IRST today? It won’t lock onto flares if you use your IRST…

I agree with you. 10.7 is maybe too strong for RB, but needed in SB.

Eh not entirely IRST just helps with off bore launch angles. Once that missile is in the air its entirely on its own. IRST helps but it doesn’t make it flare immune. The best thing you can do is try to fire the missile so far ahead of the aircraft that they dont get a chance to see the flares.

What I meant was it won’t track flares launched from the aircraft when you’re spoiling up the missile

Doesn’t really help if flares are out, so all it does is help you to decide when to release. If i still had to choose between the J35D or XS not counting CM. I’ll still take the D since it has RWR which is infinitely more helpful than irst imo.

(Though id rather just not play the drakens anyways lol)

Lol yea gainin murdered the pancake planes, it does help with on the rail flare resistance tho

Yeah but i dont need IRST for that, IRST for me just helps with off bore shots, so again doesnt really do much for me. Besides i can do the same thing with the viggen since RB24J/Aim 9P3 can be radar slaved

Yeah but this guy evidentially has had some struggles so I wanted to help him out a lil bit, off bore is super useful though

Ya the IRST doesnt change the flare resistance. It just “can” give a better offbore lock. doesnt change the fact the things wanna lick paint off the flares if they get any semblance of it in their view.

It does though

Like literally the IRST makes it so it is impossible to preflare

It doesn’t have an affect on the missile once it is off the rails though

“doesnt change the fact the things wanna lick paint off the flares if they get any semblance of it in their view.”

So does everything but IRCCM missiles at distance. Most missiles are 1 tap flares until 0.5KM. The Js are no different and you need to be at a range where they won’t have time to react.

Even rhese days, 10.3 is too high for just 2 more missiles compared to something like F1. aim 9 are horrible compared to PL-5 and magic. These aren’t even Aim 9G to compensate for burning of all your energy after a slightly turn

Lol, if you think the XS is bad imagine the F 35 lmao

The F35 (J35 attacker) is a strike aircraft, or at least repurposed as one. Gaijin is notable for giving strike planes weird BR, and I think it is out of the scope for discussion here.

Not really, its a heavier J35F with only 2 missiles. The XS is the pinnicle of the J35s in game. Realistically the J35s can’t go down because they already are too strong against the 9.x aircraft, the J35A at 9.3 is very much evidence of that. While the J35s have been nerfed multiple times the main problem is that vehicles like the J7D sit at far too low of a BR because of compression. Space everything out properly and the J35s will be in a better spot.

Real note is you should’ve waited for Germany to get the J35ÖE and not wasted your money on Sweden.

So that’s like Mirage III vs Mirage V. Hmm interesting.

Okay, F-35 vs J-35 is a extreme example but still my point stands. It’s a base bomber (as far as air mode goes), and Gaijin is known for giving them inflated BR.
