That is true, but there is a tiny hope at least.
Though it might also be a marketing lie

cough blow out panels
Yep, those are marketing lies too
Welcome to another episode of:
gaijin ignores frustum and acts as if APFSDS rounds are just cylinders with flat ends and 0 diameter variations.
I like your name, classic milk man
Because clear Marketing Lie
I wonder why 18.5g/cm³ WHA would be too much for their penetrator… Cant think of any particular reason…
And just saying, with gaijins current 23x685mm penetrator values, they’re left with a total mass of 19,486g for;
Entire rear section (Fins, Tracer-Compartment, Tracer) and parts of the frustum that they ignored for their calculation (~6mm)
So maybe, just maybe it isnt the 18.5g/cm³ figure that is wrong, but their own dimensions?
18.5g/cm³ is easily possible for this penetrator the second you consider its not just a cylinder with 0 diameter variations.
Here’s a brief example of how little the penetration would improve:
I’ve taken M829A1 dimensions since DM53 dimensions are not know, but the example would still be relevant.
M829A1 at 1750 m/s would penetrate 651mm of RHA @ 10m, 0°.
At 1780 m/s it would penetrate 657mm of RHA.
30 m/s is not particularly impactful in terms of penetration improvement.
Clearly Rheinmetall has wrong Dimension of there own Ammo, therefore the 18,5g/cm³ with a total weight of 5kg isnt possible to archive
And yet it can mean alot when it comes to ERA
Not relevant to War Thunder.
Unfortunately. DM73 having Anti-ERA abilities will probably be treated as a marketing lie
