I don’t think there are many Leopards in the game that have the L55A1 gun installed ( i think only the 2A7V? ), uncertain though.
Either way, munitions are up to the devs to choose or not based on balance.
Well you know, they are going to treat it like it’s just a metal rod so it probably wouldn’t matter anyways.

DM53 is already the best top tier round in the game (not counting object 292)

You still wouldn’t be able to UFP the 12.7 ones. Only the even weaker 12.3 and down ones.
if modeled correctly they WOULD be able to pen any t serie bs UFP and turret

Any reason as to why? DM73 is just an identical penetrator as DM53 (or maybe even the same) from what I have seen the German mains mention. Also iirc in the DM53 bug report there were documents which stated that DM53 could pen K5 but not relikt.
So how is DM73 suddenly going to penetrate relikt with the same penetrator?

People on this forum have estimated an increase of 8-11% more pen (using the calculation Gaijin uses) at most iirc from memory. And to add to this that there was nothing done to the penetrator to make it less susceptible to relikt (since it’s still the same penetrator as DM53 which has been stated to struggle with Relikt).
So no, this increase will not be enough to make it lolpen the T-80BVM and T-90M LFPs lmao.
Surely the DM53 in-game is correct to begin with, lol.

The dm73 project was created to defeat Modern ERA specificaly i woundlt see why it would not be capable of penetrating relickt, and yea if the stats are even right to begin with knowing everything is classified
