Clouds in ground rb just makes sams even harder to defeat
Radio altimeter is not what is needed, it’s terrain following radar.
I think I’ve broken the code for the new weather - partly cloudy is the new “Clear Skies” - though it will have a couple puffy clouds here and there.
All modes seem to have haze now.
I’m in VR so it’s already hard to see anything - I turned off Anti Aliasing and that hasn’t seemed to have changed much of anything - I do need to get a better rig (accepting donations).
“Thunderclouds” and “Cloudy” on Tunisia is probably the best implementation of clouds in terms of providing an interesting battlefield terrain WHILE not enabling zombing or obstructing take-off/landing or fights/spotting too much.
I like this. More this, less “Low cloud cover.”
Did you file your IFR flight plan?
Seriously, I like the clouds for a lot of reasons, compared to a couple years back when they were basically eradicated for a while.
–They help keep the CAS off in low-to-mid ground RB a lot
–They mitigate AI AA in both naval modes a LOT
–In Air AB maps with bases they can often lead to fun and interesting game play for bombers trying to be sneaky and interceptors and escorts trying to guess where people are by the sound.
Figure out a way to keep all those positives somehow without clouds and I would grant you your clear skies back. They can also look really pretty sometimes too, especially at dusk and dawn. (And they even can make me look at my instruments once in a while when I’m starting to get disoriented. And some of the instrument panels are really pretty and well done.)
