What's the point of playing hard, if no rewards?


8 kills, 2 captures, 2 assists, 0 deaths. All of this for 3700 research points.
What’s the point of playing so hard if there’s hardly any reward? It barely feels rewarding to do kills, captures and everything else in ground battles. If I had done this amount of kills in an air match I would’ve got like 20k RP.

Activity Time is less than 9 mins, rewards will be less if you have less time do as much as you want.

So tryharding at matches is not worth it? It seems like the difference between slaying the entire team, and just doing a few kills is minimal.

bro, u’re playing a rank III tank, what did u expect? 10k RP for such a good match? u could do better, and i have done better matches with rank III tanks (i even got a nuke in an uptier using rank III tanks).

congrats, u just discovered GRB is not like ARB.

probably impossible except u’re in a Rafale or a Su-30SM2, and at rank III u would probably got like 7k/10k as much, probably 5k. also there’s a huge difference between GRB and ARB, if u didn’t notice, bro.

and btw, u did 8 kills, not 9 kills, that means u get less RP for not getting the 100% bonus.

Nobody asked. Everyone knows how it works and, because of which, it sucks.

Yeah GRB has nerfed RP rewards compared to ARB, its absolutely shot compared to air, probably overall 30% - 40% less RP than ARB depending a little on the rank.

The thread title is a question. So yes, somebody asked. And more, in the next post, the threat starter asks again, relating exactly to what was said.

From my experience, not that many people understand the game economy. In fact, many don’t understand the functions of the economy AT ALL.

So his short and concise reply “Activity Time is less than 9 mins, rewards will be less if you have less time do as much as you want.” is actually spot on.

A decent match.
Not excellent, not average, however decent.
6230 RP premium for a decent match? Eh… sounds about right for Tiger 1.
That’d be something like 10,000 RP for an excellent 14 frag match with 2+ caps.

Almost as if 1 frag in air RB is equal to 2.5 - 3.5 frags in ground RB because one has respawning mechanics and the other doesn’t.

When I first start to play war thunder this is probaly the amount of rewards I will get after 6 kills.

Way GRB works is that your score is tied to a single life.

If you respawn, you need to get score again to get activity time.

We went through this before in a different thread, although this works for a surface level assessment.

This more or less sums it up. Your RP effectively gets shot if you got 3 kills per respawn 3 times as apposed to 9 kills in one spawn over the entire match. It makes for very inconsistent gain and there have been times i get ~15k RP (with premium) in a single spawn tank, got a nuke, match lasted over 9 minutes and I still dont get more than ~15k?

They should really make adjustments to GRB gain because the multipliers they have now per spawn or whatever funky activity calculations per spawn thing is just detrimental to the experience as a whole.

And what score you get impacts activity. Which is how I am able to get 24,000 RP matches in ground as I did air when performing excellent in both game modes using mid-BR premiums.

Of course, this was prior to my days of sharing [2019 and 2020], this was also before the buffs to RP we got more recently.

Today I perform less than I did back then, in part because I don’t pay for repairs, in part because I’m not in a rush to get every vehicle in the game.

But even when I performed in recent matches, the RP difference was less than 5% in base RP per minute in relatively equal performance matches. The screenshots were posted elsewhere.

I dont think you should compare a mode with multiple respawns to a mode with 1 spawn though.

Of course the single spawn mode would be higher than the mode with spawns.

I know the BR is completely different, but yesterday i played a match in the Arena, and got 2.6k RP for playing 17min + 2k for 6/8kills.

Game time/Activity actually matters a lot.
