What's the Deal with Abrams Fire Extinguishers?

I’ve noticed lately that my Abrams (M1A2 SEP) gets eaten alive by fires quite frequently. It’s gotten so bad, that I can use both of my extinguishers and even get an ally to help with firefighting (for a total of THREE extinguishers) and I still die.

Surely this isn’t intentional. I have never seen this happen in any other tank.

Is it your ammo rack? if your ammo rack is cooking, turn your turret 90 degrees so the ammo hangs off the side, because if its over the engine it will relight the fire over and over. Happens with Leopard 2s as well, just rare because Leo ammo rack is smaller
