What's the best German bomber to use for researching the Arado Ar234, I am currently using the Ju188

I am around 50k points away from the Arado Ar234 but I am disappointed at the poor survival ability of the Ju 188 because of the bad gunner layout. What’s the best bomber to get in rank IV? I am considering buying the he-177, i currently have 465k

ju288 if you can, I bought it when I was a kid and it’s still the best German bomber, and maybe best ww2 bomber in general, it gets 2 huge 2500kg bombs so it’s just a flat upgrade over the he177 (besides fritz x but that’s only useful in naval) you can reliable cripple or kill battleships with the fritz x once you get experience with it

I have a lot of experience in the Ar-234 (mostly in GRB), but I assume you know it has zero guns to protect itself? You need to plan your flight and watch for any enemy. I’ve down a few fighters/bombers in my time with dropped bombs exploding in their path, but it’s otherwise only got it’s speed and agility.

If you can afford it, just purchase the Ju288 or the new Arado 234-B2 premium which has 2x 20mm and bombs, the best of both worlds if you fly the 234.

Mind you, you could also just grind for the normal tree 7.3 AR-234 version with guns…

Buy the 288 if you need a bomber, the WB151 is mostly a fighter
