What would be the best 4.5 gen in the future?

only because Gaijin forces it to be that BR. The F-15C GE is more of a 14.7 plane than the J-15T is.

Not really. I am expecting end of 2027

Besides this AIM-260 nose was spotted (It was most likely AIM-260)
But NCADE would be good to fill the gap

What does j-16 do better than the su-35.

Only thing I can think of is weight

we dont know :) just like with the J-15T :) up to gajin, all of china´s new additions are at the mercy of gajin, they could give the new chinese top tier SPO-2 and we wouldnt be able to bug report it

Yeah but I doubt we’ll know it’s true performance by then I mean does USA even release performance charts of new missiles

That’s cool and btw im not against the aim260 coming into game but I just don’t see it coming anytime soon unless gajin pulls a f-90 for the aim260

Theyll have to pull missile stats out of their ass from now on anyways, so AIM-260A can come but dont have any expectations

How will US jets compare to other 4.5 jets in terms of EW/ECM?

That fully depends on ECM and it’s implementation we need to see a bit more because gaijin has a habit of differing from real life in a lot of cases

I should’ve clarified.

What I originally meant is when you’re defending and the usual blind spots (above you, belly of the aircraft) are facing the incoming missile’s radar it’ll sometimes appear flipped on the RWR/MAW display.

For the most part it’s not really a problem for radar missiles as long as you keep it at 9 or 3. For IR missiles it’ll get a bit fuzzy on direction while you’re like that.

For the most part. Most of what we want is mostly classified and/or info is hard to come by 🥲

Not for my Meteor though (at least, not concerning its ramjet’s performance in different situations). We love MBDA 🤪😍

read the full comment please

Tbf Meteor and the missiles that inspired and led to its creation are fairly well known. (So many missiles all leading to the Meteor and its creation.)

So… basically the AIM-120? :P

Rb73?

Kinda but Meteor is more interesting

That’s only part of it. SAAB paved a lot of the path but there was more to it than just SAAB

J-16. Preferably the J-16D when ECM is effectively modeled and safe to roll out for general play. The J-15 suffers massively because the craft itself is pretty much developed with ECM as a main defense. The J-16D would basically fill the same role so may seem redundant, but it’s also something to consider if we get PiLi 15s and would bridge into the J-20. Again, the J-15 does this as well basically, but it would be nice. That said, how many flankers will they add? Let’s add 8 more lol.

Alternatively, I’d like to see the true JF-17 block III. Advanced avionics and give it the factual ability to carry pretty much every weapon system thanks to French NATO compatible avionics suite. Oh and the better engines of course.

In a relatively near timeframe, we might even see the Rafale F5 as well, which in game would translate to a much improved radar, engines and maybe some next gen missiles (stratus and other programs spanning to the early mid 30s)

They shouldn’t. There’s no proof the 30SM2 can carry R-77M. The only way it could be added is “Technical Feasibility” which gave us stuff like Dual Pylons on 27SM, 30SM, MKM, SM2…

Afaik only Su-35S and Su-57 use R-77M.

Agreed.

Though, a small nitpick, Su-27SM3 can actually use R-77-1, not just R-77.

Still fixed plate AESA though, so not really that improved

Sure, but it is known/proven that the Su-30SM2 is capable of carrying the R-37M.

R-77M is simply a slightly larger R-77-1 sans grid fins. Not much in the way of “technical feasibility” there :P

Ah right, forgot about that. I’m sure it’ll be withheld from it same as the R-77-1 is withheld from the MiG-29SMT cuz muh balance.
