What would be the best 4.5 gen in the future?

This year we would probably get next gen IR missile, next gen ARH missile like the meteor and hopefully ECM/EW.
So i got curious, after considering all next gen IR and ARH missile and EW suite along ECM, what would be the best 4.5 gen in the future and why?
Also if your answer would be eurofighter then which nation would have the best eurofighter?

Why?

Probably the German Eurofighter. IRIS-T will be the best Fox 2 for short range engagements, coupled with the meteor that would have superior BVR capabilities to the current AMRAAM that’s modelled. Good airframe and radar, MWS and everything

Really depends on the modeling of ASRAAM vs IRIS T but i think its gonna be one of the EFTs and depending on which IR is better either the German/Italian ones or the British one.
Depending on how far Gaijin is willing to go Eurofighter EK or any EFT with AMK would be kinda insane

Biggest blunder on Gaijins side would be giving every EFT access to both IR missiles. IRIS T, ASRAAM and Meteor on the same plane would be broken as hell

Rafale with MICA NG

Won’t the radar be worst then the other two EFT? IIRC German EFT use captor E mk1 unless they are upgrading it. I think it would be the Italian typhoon since it would be able to carry IRIS’-T while using captor E mk2

It will most likely be italian or british ef2k with asraam, iris-t and meteors

British Eurofighter.

ASRAAM will chase you like you owe it a cuppa, 6 Meteor missiles and Captor ECRS Mk.2… do I need to say more lol

Of course, Italian Eurofighter will be the comparable option, but no one really plays Italy so GB stats will be “bigger” in comparison.

A “silent” strong one would be Gripen E: 7 Meteors, ES-05 (similar to ECRS Mk.2), IRIS-T and basically endless countermeasures. Sure, it’s not the fastest but it can survive longer in an environment where everyone has cracked missiles.

P.S. Gaijin, 360 RWR/MAW when?

Honourable mention: F-15EX. Purely for the undefeated MCM potential in ASB. 16 missiles? All of which can be AMRAAM D??? Yes please.

Considering gaijin now gives weapon on basis of compatibility, I won’t be surprised to see both IR missile on all EFT

It will only get 16 missile if gaijin is generous or else it would be stuck with 12 missiles only :(

We already have r-73, 27ER and 27ET on the same platform. Not a big deal really in current meta.
Unless they would decide to uncripple the good old IR meta, then it woudn’t be a big deal either though.

Rafale.

Or Gripen if Gaijin bothered to model it half correctly. Thing’s an utter joke at the moment, purely out of malice on the part of the devs.

Thats why im kinda scared.

Yeah but theyre russian missiles on russian planes, not modern european missiles on a Eurofighter

Obviously it will be the F-14D super tomcat in all of its glory. The pitiful eurofighters and rafales wont stand even a chance against its might

Laser Warning reciever is OP :P

Its a tricky question and really dependent on how certain things are implemented.

ASRAAM is going to be really potent if used correctly and should only be available to the FGR4

IRIS-T is going to be really deadly at short ranges, but the question will be how that plays out in that meta if/when it happens.

How they implement these missiles will also be quite telling, things like lock range and/or LOAL could play a big part in which is actually good (also just Gaijin being Gaijin, CAMM is terrible at the moment)

(and if Gaijin does the stupid thing of allowing both ASRAAM and IRIS-T to be run on all the EFTs… then the EFT, period, in every fight)

Meteor is gunna be… interesting. It will be good, but we’ll have to wait and see how it plays out in the meta.

ECM is also gunna be a big deciding factor here, and that is really gunna depend on how its done. If its largely generic, then the advantage some aircraft should have would be mitigated, like the Eurofighter EK with Arexis wouldnt really hold any advantage over any other EFT in that regard.

Future upgrades like AMK, expanded CM counts, etc are all going to be really good at keeping the EFTs in the fight

But overall will probably be the EFT, followed by the Rafale.

Never played with a jet having LWR, But why is it OP anf why does a jet need it?

It protects against all those SAL-guided A2A missiles and most importantly GBUs which Gaijin considers OP in ARB :P

Spoiler

Its actually a bit of a joke, the FGR4 consistantly has better stats than either the Italian or German Typhoon and whilst the German Typhoon’s have been slightly worse in other ways and being a major nation naturally lowers its stats, the italian Typhoon has thus far been almost identical, the only difference being LWR. So its just the joke that LWR is the reason for the better stats compared to Italy even though in ARB it does nothing currently.

In the future, it could be useful for defending against APKWS or later models of Brimstones which have prox fuse. It has saved me before from a soviet heli firing a Vikhrs at me in GSB

IRL, it was added to detect some types of Manpads and other types of SAMs, but only Britain opted for it

So the consensus is that the British Eurofighter with ASRAAM and Meteor would be the best Gen 4.5 even above Rafale with Meteor and MICA IR, but the post said “best 4.5 gen in the future” so the Eurofighter with ASRAAM/Meteor is still better than Rafale using Meteor/MICA NG-IR/ MICA NG-EM?

Mostly depends on how asraam, iris-t and mica IR is modeled.

If, mica ir, can relock due to its datalink, then I think mica ir will be better than asraam. Even then though, eurofighter carries more countermeasures, missiles while also having better flight performance. And the gap between mica ir and asraam/iris-t methinks will be small enough for it to not matter in the grand scheme of things.

Low k depending on if su-35 gets r-74m2 and r-37m, methinks rafale isn’t going to even be second best 4.5 gen.

I am assuming all IIR missiles will be modeled like their ground counterparts. So NO relock
My hypothetical future rankings->
EF2K (with meteor, AIM-120D, asraam, iris-t)
SU-35 (with R-74M2, R-37M, R-77M, R-27ER)
Rafale (with mica em/ir NG and meteor)
Grippy E (With meteor, iris-t)

F-15EX (AIM-120D, AIM-9X blk2)

I put aim-120ds for the eurofighter as well as I don’t think the double rack for the amraams are compatible with meteors, and double aim-120ds are probably better than single meteors.

Now, why I think su-35 will be better than rafale with mica NG/Meteor?

Simple, it can carry 6 r-37ms with 6 r-77ms and then r-74m2s. Or just straight up 8 r-37ms, 2 r-77ms and 2 r-74m2s if you forgo the double rack r-77s for r-37m. Just the sheer quantity of missiles it can carry is insane. and ±120 degree radar
