What Vehicles are Sweden in most need of ”the wishlist”

Guys, I need you opinion on this!

I found some possible information on the recoilless 57 mm gun, although it seems to be referred to as the fm/43 instead.

In this document the work started as early as 1941 on it. Obviously Jentzen was involved in it which if you read about any Swedish project involving recoilless systems should be a familiar character ;).

In a reddit post someone linked a google spreadsheet that contains some info (spreadsheet probably made by Sp15). It fired a 3.3 kg projectile at 900 m/s. It sources KAFT among others, but no specific document.

Sp15 is usually trustworthy, but man its annoying to find conflicting info, especially on something as obscure as this.

The 57 mm recoilless gun was essentially a further development of the 57 mm pvkan m/43 (57 mm pvkan fm/42). The recoilless gun was at various times known as the 57 mm pvkan fm/43, fm/44 and fm/45. Basically the same gun but in different phases of development during the war. There isn’t a lot on its mounting to the lätt stridsvagn m/Carden-Loyd but it was at least suggested to use the 57 mm pvkan fm/45. For the 57 mm pvkan fm/43, two AP shells are listed, one weighing 3.3 kg with V0 of 900 m/s as mentioned above but also a 2.7 kg shell with a V0 of 1000 m/s. 57 mm pvkan fm/44 is listed with a 2.67 kg and a 2.5 kg shell with the latter achieving 1000 m/s and being calculated with a penetration of 100 mm below 100 m

That’s really neat! Do you have a source to share for the other shells? I’d love to read up on it.

Nothing I can share but based on the same sources used by Sp15

Anyone who has seen me posting around on this forum likely knows that I have a certain affection for Swedish lightly/unarmoured tank hunter vehicles. This post will be no different.

The Swedish Army conducted some tests in 2022 with the 12th Motorized Rifle Battalion (part of the Life Guards Regiment) of the ATGM slated to replace the RBS 56 BILL and BILL 2 in Swedish service; the Akeron MP (Swedish designation; RBS 58).[1] In the same article it is mentioned that the tests were conducted in 2022 with training on the system for broader use in the Swedish Army was planned for 2023.

Most relevantly to this topic, they conducted some testing with mounting the RBS 58 on the Terrängbil 16 Galten (RG-32M Scout).

As someone who, as previously mentioned, has some affection for Swedish light/unarmoured tank hunting vehicles, I really hope that once more data is available on this particular “incarnation” of the RBS 58, we might see it in-game.

You fail to mention the Strv74, shame on you

Great tank the Strv 74, underrated imo

Merry Sweden day fellas, id like to see some of the other Pvkvs such as the earliest Pvkv m/43 prototype, they hadn’t quite figured out the “Turret” design yet so they just went for some castle defense looking thing.
Pvkv early
I think this is the version that used a 7,5 cm Lvkan m/36 instead of the Pvkan m/43, it had a lower penetration ability but as the Pvkan was based off it, i say its fine.

pvkv_m43-2
Id also like to see the later prototype as well, they did figure out the superstructure but hadn’t upgraded the hull armor yet so it still has the rounded 55mm m/42 front.

pvkv_m43-8
After that id like to see the 1954 version, still retaining the engine from the original but having the better cannon and ammo from the later version, probably the best version we would see in game.

And as ive already said earlier in this thread, the Mlav. Spj fm/43-44 chassis with a 75mm Pvkan m/43, it did exist, fully prototyped in 1944 and tested until 1945.

I just really like the Pvkan m/43.

I think the Project Emil heavy tank would be cool.

It would probably be a dreams come true. Also this makes more sense then the kungstiger

Yes as the kungstiger was used only as a range target.

Exactly, even the finish kv-1’s wouldve been better honestly

Nope, instead we got another terrible SPAA… still the issue of no ammo.

CAN WE GET ONE SPAA that has enough ammo to take more than three enemies!

Ffs i swear this thing isnt even a SPAA its a light tank like the fox!

How much ammo like 400?

600 with pretty much 1000 rounds per minute…

Its exactly like the Lvkv 42, so thanks devs for nuthin.

If it would have been added as a light tank i wouldnt even be mad. But they slapped this crap to ”cover” 5.0? Gap!

I swear gaijin is doing anything to not add a good 40mm carrier. The lvkv 43 or tridon would be so good!

So same as the r3 t20? Itll be fine

He’ll keep crying.

Anyway i hope we get to play this in live server soon.

Eh i can see the chasis being a big downside but it doesnt really matter. Its at 5.3 which is fine, wouodve rather had 5.0 because there is a bigger lineup but eh ill playbit at 5.7 as an spaa. My other TD’s will be on the lineup (lvkv42, l62 anti II, and so fourth)
