That wasn’t his point, also, easy kills is easy RP, and big red letters make me happy. If you are camping and airfield and you are 1. The last guy , or 2. Being passive like a little POS , you deserve to be strafed on the ground anyway.
Only time I think it’s not not okay is when 3-4 are on airfield and they are resupplying weapons or refueling.
That’s passive gameplay, and that’s Lé Nôt Cōōl. At least try and go for one kill, or if you can take them all, go for it, but don’t be a passive little camper on the airfield. Admit defeat and die or leave the match, or J out.
That’s still passive gameplay and generally frowned upon by most players, and if they aren’t purely blinded by kill rewards or ending the match, they won’t fall for it.
Billy here thinks AA kills instantly when in fact it takes time for those VEKA 40 to shoot down an aircraft and SAM AA cant do crap at close range. But you wouldn’t know that since you just probably rush in to the enemy and get killed.
Literally, in high tier is where you can strafe an airfield at high speed the most. And if you don’t want to risk it, give it distance to take off and get out of its AA cover, or start farming while it’s in the AF. I don’t see the problem.
If you have have a numbers advantage over the one guy camping his AF you can literally divert manpower to solve the problem. One or two people keep an eye on the dude whilst everyone else hits AI.
I have literally won matches doing just that, be it myself keeping tabs on the guy or being the one to hit the AI. It absolutely can be done to win matches. Sometimes it doesn’t work out because of where the timer is in the match and hey; sometimes that’s just how it goes. It’s not the enemy team’s fault when your team loses because of the lack of PTFO. That’s on the losing team, gaggle of randoms they may be.
And yes, this game is very much hardly a team-oriented game. We all know this. That said, if a given team in a match makes no effort for teamplay they cannot complain when they lose where teamplay would have got them the win.
Its either me cucking myself to fly circles for 10 minutes or me getting clapped by the last guy because the average RB player keeping an eye on him tends to suicide into the airfield for the last kill. Then you get only a 1v2 or sth like that and if none of you have a plane that can farm the entire map or the timer runs short then you wont be able to offset the 2k tickets gap left by some wyvern on the enemy team.
We have the numbers advantage, because we either worked better together or the enemy misplayed. The last guy, who took his fighter to bomb a base instead of helping his team, should not be the deciding factor.
AAA only needs to be strong within reason. I should be able to refuel and rearm, but NOT camp. Circling your airfield is PASSIVE thus against rules. It contributes nothing. No i should not have to go shoot AI to win because the last player circles his base instead of fighting or simply leaving. You get LESS RP per time because of ACTIVITY%. Airfield camping only is BAD for air rb. Add an order or limited ammo or something to decrease AA effectiveness over time.
It’s not cucking yourself - Your mentality of it is just poor. Sure, you can’t control the actions of others, but you can control your own. And again - The team, gaggle of randoms they may be, that PTFO’s better will win. That’s how the game operates - It’s not solely TDM. People need to either adjust accordingly or get used to losing. Like I’ve said before; Nobody can win every match.
It is, it takes away like 10 minutes basically a whole match of doing nothing, no rewards either. It also takes away from your activity so you get even less. All because someone cant accept that this team failed. Now imagine you play with a friend and he died early. Now he has to sit there for 15-20 minutes doing nothing.
That’s the reason why af aa rather is too weak than too strong.
Both enemies want to rtb, maybe j out, because game was over for them.
So why half of my team risk their planes to af aa instead of doing some AI kills and end the battle in seconds?
Result: Both enemies killed and 3 mates died to af aa…
Imho this describes perfectly the downfall of AirRB with regards to player experience / skill.
But even with 100% deadly af aaa at prop BRs you can’t land, j out and leave - there is always a subpar player trying a suicide dive into the af aaa whilst you are landing.
Edir: Replaced a way more fitting expression with “subpar player” due to flag attack. Happy to see the next attack which will be revoked by forum mods as the post itself is in line with ToS.
