I fully understand that this post might be idiotic, or I might be stupid, but I’d rather figure out what the heck is happening. I’ll be on the afterburner, and it shuts off. No sign of engine overheat, not notification like there is when there is fuel starvation, nothing. I’ll see that I’m still in WEP nut no afterburner effect.
From here I basically stall. I won’t even be carrying much ordnance–a drop tank, x4 540 lb. bombs (I’ve even had rockets instead of the 540’s and I’ve had the same experience) and Aim-9Gs. I’ll pull up, but my speed and altitude decreases rapidly. Something a friend of mine suggested was that I was pulling up at too high of an angle, but even in some of the instances I’ve had I haven’t been pulling that high
I went low, intending to pull up, but I wasn’t able to. Just kept pulling up but to no avail. I tried jettisoning a fuel tank, but it was either too late or didn’t do anything.
I don’t know if this is the nature of the airframe, or just the nature of my idiocrasy, but I just want to know how to avoid this.
I am a British Jaguar connoisseur. Is this the 1 or 1
A? I haven’t touched the Gr.1 I’m a while. I’ve been enjoying the GR.1A. But I have no recollection of the engines overheating or stalling. Not sure how to help lol.
Here’s the video, cropped it a little to edit out unnecessary info. You can see (I think it’s around the 15-16 second mark I try and pull up, but it doesn’t work. Try to pull up harder and really mash my W key into the keyboard, but still didn’t work.
It’s happened twice- once as documented above, and the other in sim. The one in sim I was carrying even lighter munitions, so I’m not sure if its related to the way I handled the plane or me butterfingering the “I” key, which is a bit of a stretch (no pun intended). I didn’t have much (or any at some moments) packet loss during the two times its happened, so it can’t be that either.
Will try. There was a good bit of time before the most recent incident and the last time it happened, so only time will tell I guess. Thank you to you @cluckcluck1111-psn for the help
Something killed your engines but the Jaguar Doesnt starve from fuel at any of the angles you did, I know this as I’m an experienced Jaguar Gr.1 player. I’m sorry as I don’t know too much about this issue. Hey tell you what I’ll try the Jaguar Gr.1 when I get the time in about a week or so and I’ll see if the same glitch happens to me.
