I’m nearing the end of the German tech tree so that leaves the question what tech tree should I do next? I have done progress in other ones before e.g. finished Rank 3 USA (researching rank 4) almost done in Rank 2 Sweden, Japan and USSR and almost in Rank 3 for the UK. This isn’t generally specific for me this effectively goes for most players who are looking for a new tech tree after Germany. If you want to be helpful and pick one that may help me I generally play more passively (not bomber passive) but pick people off I see as a good target and are far away from the crowd so I guess passive and partially defensive? (I don’t know what to deem as a defensive playstyle.) Also I play air not ground so please talk about the air trees not ground (but I’m always open to advice to maybe start playing ground!!) As always any advice is very helpful so if you respond thank you.
If you are interested in a more defensive playstyle / ground attack focused then Britain might be a solid choice.
The Heavy bombers are pretty bad and the Sptifires and Meteors promote more aggresive playstyle, but the later BRs are full of some rather solid ground attack aircraft.
Canberra, Buc, Jaguar, Tornado, Harrier and F-111 all great ground attack/bomber aircraft (though like most, are best in Air Sim not ARB)
The Tornado F3s, Phantoms, Sea Harriers, etc all promote more defensive playstyles that benefit from a slower, more patient playstyle as they are more BVR focused.
Even the Typhoon in the future will promote that kind of gameplay as the ASRAAM is better suited for longer ranged shots rather than the IRIS-T which will be strongest used in a brawl.
an Alternative nation could be France. Im currently grinding France for aircraft like the Super Etendard and Mirage 2KD. Like you, I prefer that slower, mud moving focused gameplay, but France does seem to offer some interesting Hyrbids. Mirage F1 makes a decent multi-role mud mover in SB
Sweden is always fun, the strange tanks are always fun to play, and you will love the mobility. armor is mostly non-existent
