What’s Next for U.S. Top-Tier Jets After the F-15E?

Yeah I’ve seen that PIRATE has got super long range, I think that’s the one thing that made the US start the development of these :

Said the guy that believed Meteors were on 5th Gens lmao

Out of arguments buddy? We’re gonna have to call a mod if you start spewing such non sense you know that right?

are you trolling? meteor will be on Literally every european f35. American F35s now operate Aim120d, and will operate JATM very soon. japan will use aim120c8, and im pretty sure it can carry AAM4b. even if we implement the f35s before the meteor integration. modern aim120 variants are still orders of magnitude better than anything we have ingame. this isnt even discussing the plethora of advanced fox 2s(late aim9x, Mica Ir, Asraam, AAM5) and its ignoring the also insane missiles that chinese j20 carry and in the future the j35, and its ignoring all the details on the aircraft itself which make this 10 times worse at least, and the effects of stealth. the game would need a complete Remake of the mode, there is no universe in which current arb even with small differences could work.

What are these panels? Heat dissipation

Well actually we don’t know for sure, but yes, they are most likely Heat Dissipation panels.
PIRATE really created a revolution, like what’s the use of a stealth fighter if the brits made a system that can detect one using infrared sensors from 80km?

assuming its true it works that well. 80 kilometers is still very much not sufficent for any real task. for both A2G and A2A duties, good but not sufficent

Meteor is being held up by Boeing integrating the weapon. And the primary reason the Japanese and British are in a joint venture for the Gen 6 (Tempest, still to be named)

As of now F-35 in RAF service is using Aim120C and ASRAAM
It cant use Brimstone, SPEAR or Storm Shadow

Tell me you don’t know anything without telling me you don’t know anything, METEOR isn’t integrated on the F-35 yet you goofball

Well there is, it’s ours, I mean the F-22 and 5th Gen appeared on an accurate leak list, so even if they aren’t coming soon they are still in development, meaning you’re spewing non sense.

Wow really ?? Something that isn’t in game yet because it’s better isn’t in game yet?

Apparently it can provide enough data to launch a Meteor or AMRAAM

meteor integration is a matter of time. very short time.

But it isn’t yet, so you’re wrong.

PIRATE can detect and provide ranging for DL Meteors and Aim120s.
It is a very impressive system

reread what i said

Here’s what you said.

i know thats not my point. 80km is already well withing the range of a would be f35 weapons

Ok?

Japan already uses AIM-120C-8, but the F-35s can’t use AAM-4B

For in-game purposes though, Gaijin might add JNAAM to both Japan and Britain, which was intended for use on their F-35s. It’s essentially a Meteor missile body mounting a new AESA seeker based on that from the AAM-4B.
While it was cancelled due to French opposition, it did have functioning prototypes.

AAM-5 is also not integrated with the F-35. I would assume it’s simply not seen as a priority, so it’s not worth the annoyance of dealing with Lockheed to integrate it into F-35.

Not really 2027 is the most recent date and the end of the decade was the official deadline.
Obviously if we go to war with Russia or China you watch Lockheed suddenly release the source code.
