in the 109 i think the p51 should be very easy to kill in a prolonged fight cuz it just doesnt perform good enough at low speed

and now to answer this question:
i cant rlly talk for the g-2 but the f-4 can dogfight a lot of things in a prolonged dogfight ofc zeros(tbh most japanese planes), spits or yaks (if the yaks do mistakes you can kill them tho) will just kill you in every dogfight but against most of the other aircraft you can just sit behind them very easy in rolling scissors and shoot at them the moment they fly in your gun or you get the gun on target (all of this only if you use the german PP airbrake [prop pitch 100%, no throttle] tho)
BUT this game isnt a 1v1 simulator and killing anyone in the 109 will most likely take some time so in a normal match id say you should just BnZ everyone under you and run away from most people above you
Does it matter? All you other German teammates will try to turn fight a Yak and will cry “russian bias” when the yak dusts them.

yes i indeed did play japan and most of their aircraft are rlly stupidly op but it doesnt mean that the yaks are bad and before you ask yes i also played yaks
the a, b and c variants also turn good but they are at 1.3 and 1.7 and have all lawnmower engines
the f can turn on right speeds (ca 450 kph) and then it will turn very well
the g variants (at least the g6 so prob also the g14 due to it just being an overtiered g6) also can turn fairly good on high speeds (i think something about 500 kph)
the k does also turn the best near the same speeds as the g but it turns worse due to the more heavy engine
i wouldnt dogfight in anything after the f4
Why did you skip the E variant?
The E-4 and E-7 turn really well at low to medium speeds and are strong in dogfights.

The Bf 109 E-7 is essentially an E-4 upgraded to mount drop tanks, making the two variants practically the same in most respects.
The exception is the premium E-7/U2, which features a more aerodynamically refined pointed spinner — similar to that of the Bf 109 T-2. This results in a modest gain of around 10 km/h in top speed, the only such improvement listed among all E-series variants in War Thunder.
In practice, however, the difference is so small that it’s rarely worth considering.
P.S. Sharp spinner E variants are just straight-up sexy af, dude.
