If the match is a steam-roll quickly, those extra minutes in that match will not likely yield very good results. Already at diminishing returns point.
Re-spawning to get killed fairly quickly because your team gave up the map early and are not supporting each other is usually a waste of time. These players recognize this, and hope the next battle has a much better start.
Dying at the start of the match without even doing 1 kill is frustrating asf, prefer to leave than losing my time against rats using T114, T58, AML-90, etc
U need to have no life, no family, no money, no house, no friends, no brain, no soul, no organs, no bed, no girlfriend, no food, no license, no national ID, no alive to play that tanks.
It’s an online, competitive PvP game … quitting is anti-competitive and there should be negative consequences for doing it. Many other online games already penalize quitting like this … and guess what, quitting isn’t plaguing those games like it is in War Thunder because of those negative penalties.
This mule has been beaten to death.
Punishing players for leaving a battle early DOES NOT WORK.
At best, if you try to force a player to stay, they will enter the battle with a sub-standard vehicle that just donates tickets to the enemy. Once that 2nd “beater” is quickly dead the player will move on.
War thunder is also a team based game, yet when I ask for cover, mark the map on one person, etc, for over 5 minutes straight up with NO support, the player base magically turns into clones of Helen Keller. Redditor logic at its finest.
Competitive games have some kind of balance.
Considering WT competitive outside of tournaments is disgracing any competitive game ever existed.
It’s an online battle arena with vehicles , with realistic -NOT SIM nor completely arcade features.
And i’ll be fair , even with the best balancing it won’t be balanced outside of tournaments because it has too many vehicles that differ in characteristics even when belonging in the same class and they were not built with competing in a battle arena game in mind. They were built with achieving missions in mind. Which WT doesn’t have…it has deathmatch and that’s that.
Now it’s point is …have fun. Sometimes the game delivers and some times not. Depending what someone calls fun.
I only find myself leaving if its obvious my team has completely disintegrated. I’m not going to spawn another tank when the entire enemy team is sitting on my spawn
The simple truth of the matter is that the 1-death quitting problem is fixable, but Gaijin is simply unwilling to address the problem because they are too busy counting all of their money.
I hate to contradict you, but I am married, I have four kids so I’ll let you consider the implications of how that happened, four dogs, a house, three cars. I work full time. All of which I thank God Almighty for.
Sometimes I get on and have used a few of those vehicles. Quit pressing the w key and expect dopamine to be deposited. Put on some headphones and apply some situational awareness.
Also, you’re gonna get ratted sometimes. Thats the whole point of light vehicles.
I mean, simetimes the hours my wife works are different from mine. I mean, I wouldn’t be able to get the level of skill or experience now were I starting fresh. Plus, sometimes she gets home and wants to decompress by playing some mobile game for an hour in bed.
Its something I jump on for an hour or two on the weekends, sometimes more if the family is out doing something else which is rare since I am usuallt with them.
Idk… you just have time sometimes. Not like I used to, which is good, because honestly the amount of gaming most of us do is probably addicting.
