Also play to fun scenario is quite difficult to achieve consider MM based system where most players will have just one relevant queue for they and even then you have to deal with stuff you would rather not deal with like maps or for some CAS. Server based PvP games are much better in this case where you can choose server with most optimal settings that fits you so fun is maximized.

Given my recent events in this game,I found that play to the end when I have

1: A full line up at a certain BR ,eg Germany at 6BR, USA at 6.7,Russia at 4BR etc etc
2 : when every vehicle is modded fully or most of them anyway.
3: I have a map that I can use at least some of my chosen line up.
4: I have no agenda except having some fun,and War Thunder can be,lets not be totally negative : )

I ODL when 1: I have an agenda. Like Battle pass.
2: I have only one vehicle at a certain BR due to line up.Either premium or just the way the line up is for for lesser nations.
3: Quite a new one but on big maps on lower tiers I simply cant be bothered to drive so far for so long. Amplified by unmodded vehicles losing 80 BHP and doing 6MPH top speed.
4: The uptier but not just any uptier.I mean the full uptier when all or most of my line up are unmodified and I am firing poor ammo and doing a quarter of my top speed with no repair kit or FFE

With ODL Gaijin makes a rod for its own back and it likes to share the pain.
