i won’t buy it anyway.
the yamato is suck enough, now nagato looks suck too,why should i buy this shit?play 6.0 with mikuma is much better.
at least the armor is not so suck
Nagato is probably the best battleship in the tree right now. Buuuut, the camo is ass, the armor is wrong, 80 USD is ridiculous, not to mention the other problems the ship itself has. Plus the indignity of pay walling the only WW2 modification of any of the 8-8 fleet ships.
Personally, I’ve been sitting on 90 bucks for years waiting for her to come to the game so I could buy and spade her the second whatever patch she was in dropped. Just bought EU5 instead. Don’t think I’ll ever spend money on War Thunder again, actually.
Yes and why?
It just looks like an additional issue on top of what was noted before
If you think Nagato class armor sucks, go play Amagi or Yamato in Warthunder.
Amagi has FAR better armour than Yamato. Yamato has several “accepted” bug reports on her awful (and incorrect) magazine and armour layout, Gaijins response? Add Musashi with the same incorrect lay out.
Even with ‘corrected’ magazines and armour layout, Yamato won’t be changed much as her ‘cheek’ is very historical.
Very interesting thank you
No the hell she doesn’t. Amagi explodes the instant shells fly towards her. The only difference between her and Yamato is Amagi usually doesn’t instantly die.
Instead she loses a magazine, several fires [and] nearly floods to death. Mutsu in comparison can tank most 7.0 to 7.7 ships she’ll see. Amagi’s model is also longer than Yamato (which is historically incorrect).
Which is far better than Yamato, but perhaps I should have said “more survivable” rather than “better armoured”. Her hull sections seem to take far more damage before being destroyed too. I haven’t noticed any significant difference between Amagi and Mutsu in terms of their survivability, but maybe thats just me. Ise is the best Japanese ship for survivability IMO.
You mean fusou?
Ise has the same issue of Hyuga: frontal mag almost always instantly goes.
Fusou, in comparison, just doesn’t seem to die. Sure, it loses bow almost immediately but that’s about it. I have yet to see one just instantly die when shot at.
Hyuga and Ise are probably two of the worst 7.x ships in the game. At least in my opinion.
Nagato’s magazine has thick armor, but its horizontal armor is the same as none. one shot can kill more than half of its crew.It loses its crew very quickly, which is a fatal weakness, making its powerful magazine armor a decoration because you don’t need to hit its magazine, you can just hit the middle part of the ship. When you open the CDK, you will find some holes in the middle of Nagato. These holes appear because the structural steel did not fully cover them. I suspect that gaijin copied the armor of the Mutsu when making Nagato.Someone submitted an issue, but not a bug
While far thinner, Ise has a turtle-back similar to Scharnhorst that isn’t present on Hyuga, I’ve found that, combined with her very low water line makes her extremely survivable.
The most internal deck armour inside citadel does not enhanced in refit yes. It was deck armour on top of main armour belt only that reinforced during the refit. As shown in the difference between bow magazine and stern magazine protection system, 1930s refit of Nagato was limited because of weight shortage.
In my experience, that armor has done absolutely nothing for her survivability. Maybe it’s more useful in realistic where player accuracy is nerfed but it does a whole lot of nothing in arcade since people like to magazine fish.
Trust me I’ve seen it if U played naval during the Arizona era when she was introduced not too long afterwards.
For me using her sister ship mutsu, her deck armour above her mainbelt is the weak spot. Tho it might be able to stop shells , shrapnel was able to still get through and hit boiler rooms. Knocking out crew and reducing her propulsion hence why I angle away and fight from long range, to give her a fighting chance when taking hits. It works most of the time when I played her but taking a hit on the deck still hurts. But it fairs better since players accuracy when U are angled away, and slowly sailing away from Ur enemy does make players harder to hit the weak spot.
