What is going on with the matchmaker?

I have been trying to grind the Mistel event with my Mirage IIIC and have got the first 2 stars so far. In all those matches it took to get them I have got 2 matches where there were 9.7 vehicles and one with 9.3 pretty much all other have been uptiers to 11.0. Now I know there are currently sales going on but when the queue for the battle looks like this:

War Thunder - Waiting for game 30. 10. 2026 17_44_04

I would expect a downtier every now and then.

These past 3 days of playing have not been much fun having to constantly face 11.0 planes without any countermeasures.

Has anyone else noticed anything similar?

Its either:
People using a certain 11.0 or 10.7 vehicle a lot to grind
People playing certain BRs less after the BR changes.
