The Tiger 1 models would still actively see Pershings. If we take prototypes into account, it will also see the T29, T30, T32, T34, IS-3, IS-6, and many other vehicles.
Historical Matchmaking doesn’t work. German Panzer IV tanks would see the T32 and possibly even M60, Centurion, or mid cold war T series tanks at the most extreme ends.
It was, yes, but by sheer luck. Those mechanics are not present in-game either. As it stands, you cannot wedge shells into crevices where the gun needs to move, just like you can’t destroy optics and blind someone.
They’ll take it from the front just as easily. The standard M10 could easily take a Tiger head-on. The 17 Pounder also had a tendency to be more inaccurate than the American 76mm, so it would struggle a bit more than a standard M10.
To be honest, the gun is good, but a bit overhyped. The American 76mm proved to be much more reliable when dealing with enemy armor due to its long-range accuracy advantage. It’s honestly a bit shocking. Even I assumed the 17 pounder was more accurate until I looked at actual documents. If I can find them, I’ll share them too.
Not really possible. Also, despite what you might think, even the early 75mm Shermans can somewhat take Tiger tanks with some skill.
I found that out when playing in a tournament server, though admittedly, it was 2 tigers, 8 Panzer IV, and 1 Stug versus about 20 M4A1/A2/A4/A6 variants. Figured I’d mention it because it was funny. I’ve probably got the clip laying around somewhere.
Yeah, but CAS shouldn’t really be a way to balance tanks fighting tanks. CAS should be balanced with more nuance than that. If everyone could play a Tiger at 3.3, then no one would ever want to play anything else at that BR (other than the Giga Chads of course).
If we have players who use their brains, why should the Tiger be at 3.3? As a German main, I’ve played an absolute shit ton of the Tigers. They’re all insanely good.
I agree, but I also think most of those “Flank spots” were just spawn camping positions. What we need is some REALLY LARGE maps. Especially for top tier.
Also, slight side note, I think if you get a large map at higher BR brackets, such as top tier where LRF are common, you should temporarily have an LRF just for that map to help you stock grind.
Based. HMM is not possible nor worth the time. It’s unbalanced and unfair AF.
That’s what SIM is for, though admittedly, even Gaijin drops the ball at some brackets in that game mode. I made a post about the stupid inconsistencies between Israel and other nation’s mid tier 6.7 to 8.7 lineups in SIM. As an example, Britain will get the Centurion Mk.3 at 7.7 SIM while Israel won’t receive their Centurion Mk.5 (Sho’t) despite it being identical in performance and the same BR in-game. That’s just one example of course.
