On top of this and the one with Iron Fist, there’s also a few other variants that could be added.
First is the prototype, which doesn’t have smoke grenade launchers and is pretty bare of features in general, I’m not sure if it even had a coaxial machine gun. It also doesn’t have the prominent commander’s sight of later models.
Prototype
The 1998 model, this was the first and last one to use externally mounted smoke grenade launchers, and doesn’t have the spherical commander’s sight we’re familiar with.
CV90120 (1998)
These last two were mentioned prior, but the CV90120 in-game is an early variant of the CV90120-T as far as I know, but the one in this picture below features an RWS and hard kill APS, showcased at MSPO 2007 in Poland.
Now, do we need all these CV90120s? Probably not. Would it be fun to have a lineup full of them? Absolutely. Also yes, please give it DM53 or something, thank you.
I did not say they had any, just that it reasonably should obligate them. If you’d bother to read my statements, I’m quite pessimistic about it ending up in the Swedish tree.
More high end light tanks are undoubtedly a good thing. The L2A7DK I proposed is only based on the fact that Gaijin is may be currently producing more vehicles from Denmark for the Swedish TT. Of course, the final decision will be made by Gaijin^-^
Guess sweden could also get VL MICA via Denmark, thats quite a lot of SPAA
Denmark
-Skyranger
-VL MICA
-IRIS-T SLM
Sweden
-BAMSE
-IRIS-T SLM -Eldenhet 98
Norway
-Nomads
-SLAMRAAM
-NASAM HML
Finland
-Buk M1
-NASAM II FIN
9 SPAA is quite a lot if Denmark and Norway are added to the TT. As much as id like to see new SPAA given the Elde’s performance id rather wait so that vehicles like IRIS-T and VL MICA stay unique for a bit under their respective nations.
It’s not built to do direct fire, you reload it with a “crane” thing from inside the vehicle so the round needs gravity to get to the bottom of the barrel. The AMOS can do direct fire since it is built differently and loaded from behind instead of muzzle loaded.
In that case I wonder if you could reload at an angle then put the barrel at 90 degrees. In which way it could function in WT by giving it a reload animation similar to the M901.
Yeah, I’m trying really hard here!
If it works, then effectiveness would be greatly dependant on animation speed and number of shells you could physically fit without something in the mortar carrier breaking.
Eh, from what i know the VL MICA are to be permanent additions as they were paid for in full and were the competitor to the SLM but we are going to be running both VL and SLM. Seems the SLM was probably the better choice by price over the VL.
Edit: Looks like the VL is part of the unified air defense system thats being put into place since they should arrive before IRIS-T SLM
I know of it, but honestly, it’s a smaller problem compared to the possibility of the reloading process not allowing for firing at 90 degrees, because that thing is just a sheet of metal that anyone with a spanner could remove. Hell, you could probably even fire through it and make it pop for visual effect.
But as pointed out, there is also the pre-production model without this addition.
Could be a nice Swedish equivalent to the LAV-AD, definitely not a top tier AA, probably around 10.-- area so it could be nice, not really needed as that’s where Swedens 2 best AA are, but it could still be a nice addition.
Sweden is likely getting 3 Mosquitos in the next update. For me personally this pretty much settles it, Denmark and Norway have become proper subnations of the Swedish tree, as we seem to get a new Norwegian and Danish vehicle with every update. Not just squadron and premium vehicles, but proper tech tree ones.
