Start high have your marker on enemy spawn, look for vehicles if you dont see anything fly low and to the side and come up behind the spawn from super high up. Its one of my best CAS jets, also the single CM pod will save you from any missiles launched by SPAA or enemy jets.
I can kill Tor’s or basically anything then spend my time trying to CAP with RB24J.
Missiler till Jorden is my main loadout, its fairly versatile, not the best CAS aircraft nor multirole but its alright imo. Unfortunately i wanted the F 35 to replace it but it being 10.7 makes the F 35 DOA
Yeah, I just climb to about 9k meters and cut throttle and deploy air brakes, search for targets and get in lock range. It’s usually 3-6 kills every run. Solid strategy, I have to agree with you.
It’s better than a majority of the other CAS at the BR in my eyes, even than Russian CAS from the SU-25 is not as good just because it has to keep its low-zoom laser on target the entire time, you can launch and piss off in the AJS at least.
We are long overdue for another CV90120, but considering im still waiting for an actually useful 5.x SPAA and a 4.x SPAA i can wait for the other CV90120’s
The vehicle had APFSDS-rounds developed parallel to it. Already in the mid-80’s they had tested at least hundreds of these rounds. The idea, if I recall correctly, was that they chose the 40mm so they would be able to fight MBTs from the side. To help with this, they developed APFSDS-rounds. Development rounds were made from tungsten with a length ratio of at least 1:15 to the diameter.
So given sweden lacks any 5.x vehicles and with Danish vehicles and possibly Norwegian ones being added to fill gaps, anyone else hoping to get a Norwegian or Danish Spitfire so we actually have some form a good CAP?
