AIM-9F is AIM-9B FGW.2
Obligatory Iranian upgraded jets using R-73 posting :D
(F-4 & F-5 respectively)
Also:
We’ve been on this topic before, it’s not as simple as slapping an Aim-120 on a pylon and calling it a day. They had a whole fkn program just to add 120 compatibility and capability to the F-4s in Germany (and another in Japan to add the XAAM-4 to their F-4EJ Kai ADTW, there’s a forum suggestion for it out that you can read up on if you’re interested). It needed a whole new radar as well as updated software and configurations to be able to use said weaponry, there isn’t a single F-4 that could use the Aim-120 during its entire service life, which extended up to the late 1990s, that should say enough about this topic as it is.
Also on the topic of the upgrades to the Iranian jets: the F-14 should have the R-27s at all, and neither should the F-4s, as the program to install and allow for compatibility ultimately failed and the radars and missiles couldn’t really behave with one another, leading to the integration attempt being abandoned. Hopefully gaijin changes it for the sake of historical accuracy, but if they don’t then idc anymore.
Also yes, the respective F-4s that could carry the Agm-88 should get them ingame. Long overdue…
Aim-9Es especially
which is ingame and not missing from the F-4F like you claimed
No
Ahh yes, Yes that’s the one I was thinking of but forgot the name as of typing this, So definite thanks for this.
Furthermore, I wish the devs would get around to remaking the currently hordgepodge IJA Type 5 Escort Boat as that vessel is a mess but iirc it had a similar system that launched aerial mines into the air, (iirc it’s simply called the AA mine discharger).
Good for you. You found a picture. Its doesn’t change what the manuals say. Stations 1 & 9 are not available due to the instability they cause.
Attention, there will be a lot of planes from Japan here.

The instabilities were due to a lack of Fly By Wire systems early on. These aircraft are outfitted with a kind of early on FBW. The CAS or Control Augmented System was refined more and more over time. By the time the MSIP was in full swing, the outboard pods could be run without any issues. So it should be implemented, as the upgraded bird CAN handle them…
CAS is not even close to FBW. It just takes information about airspeed and altitude and modifies control inputs. Even Strike Eagles with their further computerized flight control system cannot use stations 1 & 9. You don’t have any idea what you are talking about.
I am pretty sure its the opposite if you don’t understand how CAS and FBW are related and that CAS is essentially an analog early FBW system. Which… if you don’t know… improves stability. The wings aren’t going to rip off. We know it works. We know they can be loaded on the F15C, and we know they don’t rip apart with the external pylons.
Not to mention the F15C model can use the wing Quad and Centerline Dual Pods. So it still has the wrong loadout:
So even without the new FBW version of the F15, it still is lacking because the centerline dual pylons are missing.
I guarantee I understand the F-15s flight control system better than you ever will.
This was just a fit check on the ground, never flew. And the AMBER racks for CFTs have not been purchased.
They are not centerline, they are CFT mounted.
X
This is the standard for this game. In fact, its more than adequate for this game. As its more than a number of in game implements have had IRL.
They are centerline positions and we have CFTs on the F15C MSIP II so its good enough for this games standards.
Being purchased has never been the standard for this game, especially for the USSR tree.
I find it amazing how much gate keeping and how much higher bar is required for one nation vs others. Weapons that the Mig 29 can’t carry = good to go. Weapons that were never even test fit on the Yak 141 = good to go. Weapons we know can be mounted = not good enough… Really silly. Tanks without their optimum munitions on one nation while ERA that is god like over performing on another = good to go.
AH-1Z Viper Attack Helicopter
- The AH-1Z is an attack Helicopter that’s been using the AGM-114B Hellfire which was well out of service by the time the helicopter was introduced in September, 2010.
- AGM-179 Joint Air-to-Ground Missile (JAGM)
- AGM-114L Hellfire LongBow
- AGM-114K Hellfire (At the minimum.)
- AGM-114N Hellfire
- AGM-114R Hellfire II
- AIM-9X Sidewinder Blk. 2 (Later on when further aircraft/ordnance is added.)
- Cobra Radar System Pod
I’m not gatekeeping. I want US jets and the F-15s specifically represented correctly, not some fantasy what-if design.
Just a few that I have collected while working to decorate my man-cave
DocUSMC’s posts contain too much fake… just too much…
I haven’t really bothered. I won’t give away what we do, but I live next to and work with Lockheed, Grumman, Bell, L3, Raytheon, Wilcox, Garmin and many others here in DFW, as well as I am retired military. I have boxes of this stuff, not sure if I will ever get around to wall hanging. The hats alone would need a wall to themselves I just don’t have the motivation to do. But here is one from the F35 project here in Fort Worth.
Really need some AGM-114L ‘Longbows’ for the Apache and Viper. Yeah it gets a lot of them but there are still ways to mitigate the missile i.e. cover and if it’s a situation that cover isn’t available, get aircraft/SPAA up to kill the helicopter. I’m aware it can duck behind cover after firing its payload but it’s essentially going to behave like how all other fire-and-forget aircraft/helicopter weapons have with the exception of it being able to go through smoke and that is if the guidance remains reliable to kill the target (seeing how current Spike-LR, PARS-3, and other missiles are currently implemented).
