why would I lie about my time lol?
The maps have been changed and a lot of flank routes have been removed.

I dont care about the size, but the maps are narrower each time they touch them, that’s what I meant to say.
Yeah, you are forced into 2-3 lanes headons now, you can’t use the map to flank as much as you were used to be able to.
But hey, don’t critic, or you will be attacked lol.
2 maps of all of War Thunder have allegedly had their flanking routes removed.
4+ maps have had flanking routes added: Sweden, Sands of Sinai, etc all have new flanking routes with none removed and all larger than legacy maps.
Come on man, that was such a great spot to fight over.
Do we play the same game?
Sands of sinai had the biggest chunk of it removed in the mountain part lol.
They changed so many spots where you could hide with a light tank to block any line of sight from them, almost all new maps are reduced in width, anything that’s not urban is just plain open fields, etc.
BTW, ground cbt was in 2014, so don’t question my honesty when I say I’m one of the OG’s.
I found it annoying that in order to have a huge advantage on a long range map (due to positions that overlooked the entire map), you had to fight over a smaller corridor.
It also made spawncamping quite bad because you can just overlook the spawns from it.
Sinai used to be excellent, really dislike the changes.
Sands of Sinai lost the CQC area, which made Sands of Sinai gain 5+ flanking routes that were otherwise locked down by the CQC area.
Almost all new maps are the same square all maps generally are.
@Sweedish_Gunner
If you like CQC maps so much play those maps, stop trying to make every large map CQC just cause you dislike long-range engagements.
2 year old player throws 11 year vets experience and advice out the window. circa 2025
Sweedish_Gunner being a 2 year old player according to you is irrelevant. His opinions matter no matter his time playing the game.
You being 11 years, myself being 13 years, that matters purely for educational purposes.
True, but then make the spawns more protected and make more safe routes with cover like rocks and stuff instead of forcing poeple in a headon.
I replied to completely the wrong post sorry. dirtyann was the person i was talking about, i didnt pay attention to the names. I assumed you are the 2 year old player telling the 11 year player to go play cqb only or something.
Im newer than both you and dirtyann so i shall keep my mouth quite on this topic when in comes to experience.
Maps with 1 good flank spot = 1 singular camper on the spot for the entire match
I really don’t care about seniority, just about the fact of being called a liar for expression an opinion.
But we digress, the topic is the quality and state of existing, removed and new introduced maps.
Game isn’t even out for 13 years
2012 for closed access + 13 is 2025, my current account is 2013 cause I forgot my password to my OG account and gave up since I was only a year into the game.
Even if you challenged my claim of having an older account, my current is still 12 years old.
well with the multitude of means to remove said camper, it’s on you if you can’t get rid of a single guy doing it’s job.
i dissagre we need larger maps for the higher BR’s not just for the range of the Vehicles but also for the mobility.
As it is right now most Vehicles especially lighter Vehicles cannot use their mobility because the maps are too resticted ( small )
Tunisia is a good step in the right direction.
However Gaijin needs to come up with Balanced designes for the maps.
So many have clear advantages depending on where you start.
