We need a map purge

We have too many variations of the same maps flooding the MM 24/7.
Poland has 20 “different” Version that could be consilidated into 4-6 versions without loosing anything of value.
Ardennes has 12 Versions which could esily be reduced to 2-4 versions
Maginot has 14 versions which could be reduced to maybe 4
Seversk 13 has 10 versions and could be reduced to 2 or 3

Most other maps have 6 or 7 versions and could be reduced to just 1 or 2 versions.

We also have maps with just 1 or 2 versions, which are now underrepresented in the MM.

First we can remove every version of a map that has Conquest where the cap is not in the middle of the map (Excluding those specifically reworked for different cap positions, so 38th Parallel and whatever that one other map was called) This automatically reduces the number of every map with conquest by 2 down to 4/5 versions.
Next we remove winter versions of maps as stand alone maps and just have them as a weather option, this reduces the available versions of the maps by a further 50% (in the eyes of the MM)
Next we remove certain game modes from the long range versions of maps. This is debateable but I believe Conquest has no place on any large scale map as it just makes games more tedious if you need 5-7 minutes top get to the single cap instead of 2 minutes on the smaler version. There is no benefit to having Conquest on Fields of Poland over just Poland.
Next i propose that all large scale maps get a reworked version of domination instead of the base 3 cap version. the large maps do not play any different with 3 caps than the small ones do, its again just more tedious to do stuff on those maps with no benefit. This also makes them seperate maps instead of just “same map in bigger”. So fields of Poland would not just be Poland in larger. But its own map with a different mode and different gameplay experience that is not best described as “Poland in bad”

There is much more that can be done, like giving players the ability to outright disable a game mode they dislike to further force the MM to randomize maps, but I believe culling maps is a first step we need.
