Does anyone know anything about the supposed “silent BF-109 F-4 nerf” recently? Nerfed climb, turn, acceleration…
havent heard nor seen anything about it
sounds like the classic blaming the plane for your loss, nothing has changed on any 109 in a long time afaik regarding FM
That’s what the user MacWithGun said in his new youtube video and I have to say it’s not true, yesterday I played 6 battles, 6 wins, 0 deaths, 15 kills, the F-4 seems completely normal.
i think it is about AOA limit of instructor.
i think it used to be 70% or 75% of critical aoa but now it is less.
109s did got nerfed maneuverability.
109f4 used to have 220m-230m turn radius at 150m altitude with takeoff flaps and 20min fuel, now they get 240m radius.
for the 109k4, it used to have 230-240m turn radius at 150m alt with takeoff flaps, 20min fuel.
now k4 got 260-270m radius.
109s did got nerfed maneuverability.
“blaming plane for the loss”??? lol
There are people that call the BI bad, so it is not impossible for someone to blame the plane instead of their own skill issues.
That’s within a margin of error of testing. I checked - it’s flight model file hasn’t changed for at least 6 years, except propeller efficiency got changed in version 2.1 (more than 4 years ago).
Note that gaijin consider things in and out of FM and FCS strangely. e.g. elevator compression is not FCS but FM, but how much you actually pull and apply rudder is in FCS
what is FCS? Do you mean instructor? Idk where instructor behaviour is defined so that might’ve changed
Mouse aim sort of,…, maybe call it instructor. One noticeable change of it should be around the release of jas39 or some other top jets. The rudder input was reduced and affected all planes. There should have been some other more specific changes, on 190s yak3s etc… cant remember all of them
I think there were multiple nerfs about turn rate but those were across the board, probably hitting every single plane (I didn’t test everything but everything I tested was nerfed in sustained turn rate).
I don’t know if that was changed for every FM or just some tweak in the game’s physics or something like that which would affect everything.
These nerfs were some time ago. The last one that I’ve noticed was when the Mig-29G was introduced to Germany, I don’t remember the update name. They were “silent” nerfs, not mentioned anywhere, and neither were mentioned in any datamines I looked at.
By the way, these changes are unrelated to mouse aim instructor, since in my tests I was maintaining the same speed to test for sustained turn rates. But when gaijin changes the instructor for a plane, sometimes it buffs the plane responsiveness by allowing more AoA at the cost of energy bleed. But this is a different issue.
