It’s honestly more of a CQC map now than it was B4 since there’s even more focus on the city. The west dunes are just a death trap, free kills for snipers from the rocks.
I don’t get the Arctic hate, its a good map. Breslau is very meh and it feels like it doesn’t give the player much choice. Pure city maps are more often than not, just bad.
It could be better, but I think it’s a pretty good map. It just lacks cover and options in some areas.
Pradesh is a bad map. Most of it is unusable and it is incredibly easy to snipe from spawn to spawn. I don’t like it, and I’m not surprised to see that others don’t either.
I dislike this Attitude. It isn’t the players fault that gaijin can’t design a balanced and good large map. Calling everyone who doesn’t like large maps (a large percentage of maps in WT according to you) CQC addicts makes no sense.
The dunes were always a death trap due to the hill.
I’m glad the hill got removed so you can play more of the map without needing to constantly watch it.
I wish the whole map was less flat and a bit closer to El Alamein terrain wise.
This pool is not specific enough. It should be done to map variants as I often enjoy one variant but hate other. For example I enjoy domination on 38th Parallel but hate redlined conquest BS.
It’s either play A-B or lose with Breslau, but A-B are the most diverse in routes to begin with.
lol Lmao even.
It’s clear you haven’t played it anywhere close to often.
I can’t give away my tactics quite yet, but dozens of safe areas exist within this circle:
Don’t attribute these polls to me. I am not the polls, I am not everyone.
I explicitly stated China prefers larger maps, which is a large amount of players.
I didn’t force people to vote against good large maps.
How on earth could anyone ever enjoy 38th Parallel?
tbf, Pradesh is massive and dense and also pretty rare to get. Most people have 0 idea what path to take on it.
I get Pradesh almost exclusively when I’m being nocturnal… aka China’s playing.
What do you expect? Enjoyment of maps is highly subjective so there will be people liking maps that other don’t. I personally hate all big maps like Pradesh, Red Desert, Surroundings of Volokolamsk, Fields of Poland or Sands of Sinai. My preference is simply medium to smaller maps as there is more action than on bigger maps where gameplay feels stale most of time.
I admit that it was a bit of an exaggeration, but the map feels too open and it also has spaa sniping issues. It feels like I’m playing in a massive bowl.
Arctic sucks, I have almost never seen any actual long range combat, except if it is spawn to spawn and even that is rare.
*worst
At high tier it is literally garbage as everyone having an LRF means that even on a map as big as this, you can easily shoot spawn to spawn and there’s little cover. Even at mid tier, 95% of the map is unusable since you have to drive across huge open areas with enemies in vantage points above you.
I voted to rework Sands of Sinai because I want the hill area to be brought back. It offered great long range combat with the areas below it.
Ah, the pro-CQC argument that I haven’t heard before.
It all makes sense now.
People don’t want long-range maps cause of LRF… what a dumb reason.
Though you did admit you want the CQC anti-long range area of Sands of Sinai back as well.
The hill wasn’t a cqc area, if anything it promoted more sniping on that map. You were able to control the map and snipe much more effectively if you had control of it.
The town and the A+B points are the main cqc areas on that map.
Because that map sucks for it. Sands of Tunisia did it right, since both west side spawns have good cover. Pradesh offers no spawn cover, thus any 2nd spawners are fucked if ANYONE on the enemy team is paying attention.
As I said above, it provided much more long range combat since the hill provided a vantage point from which you could easily find targets 1000m+ away. The rocks on the bottom edge of E4 to the sniping hill on D7 is ~1200m, and getting kills from there was VERY common before the rework.
Now if you want long range combat, you’re pretty much forced to only use the west side of the map, as the east is now predominantly CQC focused.
No, that CQC area shut down sniping on Sands of Sinai, cause no one went out to A side when the CQC addict’s area was available to go to.
Also the fact you claim A is CQC is hilariously wrong. “Long range is CQC, CQC is long range.”
I see what your posts are doing.
200 meters… “long range”.
Nonsense.
We have not clarified what “reworking” means.
For me, reworking usually means adding more terrain variability - more berns, hills the like - that allow for better bern drills/hull down engagements - if I picked “Rework” for large maps such as sands of sinai. I’d much prefer if the western sands had more dunes and the like as an example so it was more viable to contest. At the moment, it feels incredibly flat unless I’m driving the Eland which is small enough to hide in some of the divots.
Edit: went to double check.
North spawn has decentish hills to advance through to contest the cap without being exposed too much.
South spawn seems to have a good 400 meter of completely flat terrain OTOH.
Learn to read.
Too bad no one’s at those rocks because they all went to the CQC area of the map to fight over C.
I was in those rocks all the time, and often had teammates with or near me. So saying that no long range combat happened when the hill was accessible is just lying.
Actually that happens more now, since the town at C isn’t kept in check by the vantage points at the hill, so anyone can push in it and be safe from long range fire.
“rework” is really just a broad term term for
the general layout is good, the execution was bad
I glad to see im not the only want remove North Holland (The most stupid and bad map in years) Sweden and Sun City.
@Pangolin_Fan maybe you can add to the poll another option like add removed maps like: Port novo and White Rock Frotress.
